Mr. Bloomberg will face off Wednesday night against Mr. Sanders; Senators Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota; former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr.; and Pete Buttigieg, the former mayor of South Bend, Ind.

(10,721 posts)...you're going to have POC, white suburban women and an entire generation of young people feeling disgusted and alienated. We'd see record low Dem turnout and record high 3rd party voting.
Clinton undoubtedly took a hit, as evidenced by weak turnout among POC, from the "superpredators" stuff all over social media. That's nothing compared to Bloomberg's history.

(31,011 posts)Bloomberg would never have a shot were it not for that asshat in the WH.
I'm no fan of his, but I see him as less of an asshat, more likely to follow the rule of law and not take a blowtorch to constitutional norms.
The lesser of two evils and all that.
I will vote for Bloomberg if he's the nominee. He's not my first choice by any stretch. But if his winning got tRump out of the WH, I'm more than okay with that.

(10,721 posts)...then I hope the administrators aren't hypocritical.
If Bloomberg buys the nomination, by the time November rolls around, people are going to be so disgusted that we'd see record low Dem turnout and record high 3rd party voting. Most people don't know much about Bloomberg--that'll change. So many POC, youth and white suburban women will feel completely alienated.

(31,011 posts)I've had real trouble about that prospect, but I just don't feel like he's a good candidate.
Most voters say they want the one who can beat trump. That's been the number one thing for a lot of them which is why Bloomberg is where he is now. I think even with his baggage, they'll still vote for him anyway if it means getting tRump out of the WH.
I'm not going to stay home. I will vote for the nominee no matter who it is. The stakes are just too high.
