I myself was taking a serious look at him a couple of weeks ago and even posted that I was trying to gauge what he was about. But the stuff I started to see was horrifying. If I wasn't so concerned with beating Trump he would be so far out of my picture it's not even funny. But this is such an important election and it's possible he has the best shot at Trump so I am still trying to decide what to do with him. My primary is way off so I want to see how he does in the debates and I think he might get shredded his pile is so deep. But if he does well and surges to the top of the polls I may have to hold my nose and vote for him if I determine he is the best shot at Trump once my primary rolls around.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Given the likely toll "superpredators" (and all the attention it got on social media) took on POC turnout for Clinton, why in the world would anyone think it's a good idea to let Bloomberg buy the nomination?

Harris's ill-advised run at Biden over busing made her look amateurish and everyone knew she was trying to score cheap political points at the vice president's expense.

But, as well as she would likely do in a general election, she ran a poor primary campaign in a crowded field. She wasn't prepared with a clear message and waffled on health care.

And she screwed up on health care. Plus, all the silly inevitability of Biden talk sucked all the non-Sanders air out of the room. We were all supposed to believe that someone who had twice before failed miserably to get nominated was the answer to all our ills simply because he had been Obama's VP. It was always nonsense. Biden's collapse could be seen from a mile away.

People still care about busing, bankruptcy bills, Anita Hill, etc. Hill still says Biden owes the nation an apology.

Bloom, but I'm yawning at a lot of the attacks on him. There's something called outrage fatigue and I think a lot of people are experiencing it, especially the anybody-but-trumpers.

Instead of all the focus on what he said or did 5 years ago, maybe focus on the mystery surrounding his platform. Yeah, he was an ok mayor many years ago, but what is he now? Will he be a Zell Miller or a Jimmy Carter in his old age?

Trump supported Bloomberg on that and multiple issues Bloomberg was appealing to Trump so I can't see how Bloomberg draws a contrast to what is in office now.

He could probably out-Trump Trump in a GOP primary but his billions won't get him far in this one. He might knock out Biden and hand the nomination to Bernie, which would be unfortunate, but if Biden bows out there's only one way this thing ends and that's four more for mad king Caligula.

which handed Trump everything he was after in the first place, namely tying Biden to shady activities in Ukraine, plus a lifetime supply of teflon. Biden got hammered hour after hour all summer and couldn't do a damn thing about it because it was our show. Of course polling isn't voting, and he might well recover in the two weeks before Super Tuesday, but it won't be easy.
