Sanders Would Crush Bloomberg In Two Person Race

Michael Bloomberg is framing the Democratic presidential race as if it’s between just him and Bernie Sanders.

However, the new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll shows Sanders would trounce Bloomberg in a head-to-head match up, 57% to 37%.

The other contenders seem fearful to go hard on Bernie.

Bloomberg is just getting started, and has the organization and resources to carpet bomb Sanders with the truth about his record, policies, etc.

Let's see what the numbers look like after Super Tuesday.

Sanders may still come out on top, but would've been fully vetted.

Some background would be helpful.

Also, Bloomberg does better than Sanders against Trump in the generals, according to the same poll.

For a comparison of someone who claims victory in Iowa and New Hampshire vs someone who has yet to be a contender in any primary, that's pretty lame.

I appreciate it. I found further reporting that goes beyond the internal campaign memo:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/there-are-only-three-viable-presidential-candidates-according-to-mike-bloombergs-campaign-184625235.html

Back to the OP, even though you are not responsible for it: the memo you linked to is 2 days old. There is a hint in the memo that indicates the Bloomberg people are concerned about Sanders being ahead. The memo indicates that they are preparing to take steps to counter this, steps that they haven't taken prior to the developments in the race that warranted them. Since the cited poll is also two days old, the data in the polls does not reflect the steps that Bloomberg's campaign is about to take. The fact is, the poll, for all practical purposes, was conducted before the Bloomberg campaign framed the primary race as being between him and Sanders.

I would like to see how those poll numbers will change in the next couple of weeks.

Still, the cited poll shows Bloomberg doing better against Trump than Sanders.

As for Sanders "crushing Bloomberg", in a two person race, that probably isn't going to happen because it is very likely that no candidate will come to the convention with enough votes to cinch the nomination
