(12,250 posts)the fact that Bernie promised to, then refused to, suggests that there's something in there that he doesn't want the public to see which casts doubt on his viability to be president.

I didn't know that about the movie industry.
The same should absolutely apply to any Presidential candidate, especially one that had a heart attack while campaigning.
It leads me to believe that there is something there that would sink his candidacy.
Thank you Cha for this info.

(2,657 posts)that a candidate will be able to take the stress of being President for 4 to 8 years. I mean, look at Trump. He's become a blubbering idiot. Wait, he was already that way? Seriously?

In the thread you can also see his analysis of the Biden letters and the Warren letters.
Very interesting and comprehensive analysis of the information the three candidates provided

(12,250 posts)Bernie saying he would release them, then refuse to makes it seem there's something there he doesn't want the public to see.
Has any of the other candidates said they'll release their medical records and then refused to release?

I dont read every single thing about every single candidate so how can I answer your question. Better yet, do I even care about it? Im fine with what the 3 candidates released. Theres lots of comprehensive info in there.

(12,250 posts)no other Democratic Presidential candidate, other than Bernie, has said they'll release their medical records, then refused to.
That would lead a reasonable person to believe that there's something in those records that Bernie doesn't want the public to see, something that might sink his candidacy on the spot.

(31,507 posts)I think all candidates should release their medical records. It doesn't have to be in great detail, just enough to make sure they are physically fit for a demanding job.

(22,911 posts)The top three polling in the race so far are mid to late 70's males. And in that age group a previously unknown heart issue could emerge for any of them at any time. Fortunately in many cases, with today's medical advances, treatments can be effective at greatly prolonging life. But all of these men, IMO, can be called "at risk". Bill Clinton had serious heart issues, after he left office, that emerged while he was campaigning for John Kerry:
"He was transferred to Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, where he underwent a successful on-pump quadruple coronary artery bypass surgery on September 6, 2004. The medical team stated, had he not had surgery, he would have likely suffered a massive heart attack within a few months".
That's 16 years and counting. I will note with no great pleasure that Dick Cheney is also still with us today.

(12,250 posts)then he had a heart attack and is now refusing to release those records, that would lead a reasonable person to believe that there's something in those records that would possibly end his candidacy.
I favor all the candidates releasing their medical records and let the chips fall where they may.

(3,145 posts)My beef is that I see names on this list that back in 2016 were loudly criticizing people who questioned Hillarys health and were asking for her medical records. The same ones who now are demanding Bernie release his.

(55,445 posts)1. Sanders has pretty much said "fuck it" and decided to be the "Trump" of this race and adopt his strategy to the letter... The only difference is he's putting a nicer liberal gift wrap on it.
2. These sycophants and lackeys running his campaign will be running the White House if he wins. I thought we were supposed to be bringing competence and respect for truth back?
3. If Sanders wins, we'll only be one heart attack away from President Tulsi Gabbard.
