Sanders' press secretary suggested questions about Sanders' health are comparable to birtherism

This was in addition to lying about Bloomberg's bealth, claiming he'd suffered multiple heart attacks in the past.

https://www.mediaite.com/news/bernie-sanders-spox-claims-without-evidence-that-mike-bloomberg-has-had-multiple-heart-attacks/

Briahna Joy Gray, the National Press Secretary for Bernie Sanders presidential campaign, mounted a curious defense of the Independent Vermont senator’s decision not to release any more medical record, which included an oblique comparison of the issue to things like the Barack Obama “birther” smear and the evidence-free claim that Mike Bloomberg has had multiple “heart attacks in the past.”

-snip-

“I think the American people deserve to know exactly as much as every other candidate has released in this race, currently, and historically,” Gray said, then added, “And what you’re seeing right now is really reminiscent of some of the kind of smear, kind of skepticism campaigns that have been run against a lot of different candidates in the past. Questioning where they’re from, aspects of their lineage, etc etc.”

“And it’s really telling given that none of the same concern is being demonstrated for Michael Bloomberg, who’s the same age as Bernie Sanders, who has suffered heart attacks in the past,” Gray continued, and called concerns over Sanders’ health a “smear campaign from the likes of Jennifer Rubin, is one that has been beating this drum a lot, Republicans who if they were honest with themselves don’t support Bernie Sanders for other reasons, largely, for the same reasons that millions of working Americans do support Bernie, which is that he supports social programs that prioritize main Street over Wall Street and has, yes, made a lot of enemies in the pharmaceutical industry and the health insurance industry and all of the interest groups is interests are aligned against those of average Americans.”

This claim comes the day after Gray falsely claimed that Bloomberg has faced 64 sexual assault allegations, and there is no evidence that her claim about Bloomberg’s “heart attacks” are true.

-snip-

Emphasis added.

Someone needs to tell Gray there aren't any awards for dishonest spin, so she can stop trying for one.

I knew something was terribly wrong when he had his "fainting spell" and that big ol' goose-egg on his forehead, bruised, swollen-shut eye. Why go to a "walk in clinic" unless one wants to AVOID having the routine diagnostic tests that are typically given at a hospital when someone his age is admitted for that type of injury.

It shows poor judgement to simply ask for an ice-pack, butterfly-bandages, pain killers, then go home. He obviously suffered a concussion when the results of the impact were so dramatic. What would proper tests have revealed? Something he was afraid of finding out (but suspected) or something that he knew to be true (but didn't want to get out publicly)?

All I'm saying is that I completely understand how a private citizen would want to keep their records and history private. That's what I'd want. --- But then again, I'm not trying to become the leader of the Free World either.

Considering the honor it would be... and the immense responsibility and duty... I would imagine that anyone vying for that position would be EAGER to over-provide information with complete and full disclosure. Yet, we're being stonewalled. Why?

If I thought that I had a chance at being POTUS, and I wanted to demonstrate my honesty and show that I was healthy enough for the rigors of the job... then I'd have to swallow my pride and disclose everything. Even non-threatening ailments. People would know everything... including my eczema, dandruff, hemorrhoids, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, cysts, hysterectomy, mole removal, basal cell removal, and borderline type-2 diabetes and borderline high blood pressure. (For the sake of honesty and transparency.)

Yet when any candidate won't give us a clear understanding of the BIG STUFF (much less the piddly stuff) then that sets off alarm bells in my mind. We deserve a full accounting of what's going on.

Bernie was sending a very clear and deliberate message when he hired her... he knew her Stein-loving, Stein-supporting, Stein-voting history as well as anyone. It was an intentional slap in the face of Democrats and the Democratic party.

Wed Feb 19, 2020, 02:47 PM
Feb 2020

This is the ugly of Sanders campaign that does not only run with internet trolls, or Rogans and Cenks but within the campaign. We had them accuse Bloomberg of 64 sexual assaults, having a heart attack and now accusing Democrat voters of being the offensive birthers because Sanders is breaking his promise to us.

We are the ones he is asking for our votes, within our party, after the attacks and problems with our first woman nominee HRC. He says no to a promise he made to us, and then offensively insults us then demands we vote for him.

primary today, I would vote for:
