Because of their support for Mark Kirk over Tammy Duckworth for the Illinois Senate race and I told them so when they called me asking for donations. You think I'm going to support someone in a Democratic presidential primary who has a HISTORY of supporting Republicans in recent Senate races? Yeah if it's Bloomberg vs Trump it's a no-brainer but let's make sure that's not the choice.

(10,429 posts)It wouldn't have caught my attention because Sanders' record on the issues relevant to HRC member has been unwavering. Long before it became acceptable to be in favor of gay marriage. The candidate they endorsed can't say the same.
The executives of HRC are free to make an endorsement of whomever they want. A personal endorsement. The organization's endorsement should go to the candidate who's always been on their side.
