Related: About this foruma question for bernie supporters.
i'm not talkin about the bros here, but sane folks who want to beat twitler-
how many out there could be persuaded, or might conclude, that warren is acceptable, and that if they threw in w her, the results would be pretty much the same, as far as policy? and that it is time for the first woman president?
i think if bernie doesnt get way out of the 20's in the next 2 contests, the party is headed for trouble. i wont say disaster, because i think we have the wind at our back no matter what. but it will get ugly, even if he doesnt get out of the 30's.
and if he cant crack 40 by super tuesday, this is gonna drag on at a time we would be better moving on to the ge.
if, on the other hand, super tues leave ew and bernie as the big winners, something no one on my teevee is talking about, do you think there will be any strategic voting by bernie supporters to get on the train, and get moving?

(3,649 posts)If she ends up leading the race by the time my state votes I'll cast my vote for her, otherwise it's going to Bernie.

(115,605 posts)wouldn't be all in for Warren. She's thought it all out and explained how she thinks it all can be paid for. Some people disagree with her numbers but at least she has numbers. Why not her instead of a crabby, shouty old guy who hasn't had an original thought since he was attending SWP meetings in the '60s?

(5,387 posts)I am not giving up on Bernie yet, but his health is a concern.
last night was a great debate for warren. I am now certain that she can stand up to trump's bullying, a big concern for all of our candidates.

(17,086 posts)I think her talents are better suited to VP, but she would make a fine President as well. (Actually, I think Bernie would be useless as VP, but that doesn't seem like a plausible ticket in any scenario.)

(4,915 posts)in with her now. Sanders is leading, has a ton of support from a wide range of people that werent engaged as much in the election process before like young, Muslims, Latinos. He holds the policies and vision I hold.
I hope Warren is in his administration as Treasury Secy and/or VP. They would make a formidable team.

(22,911 posts)And at this stage in the contest hard core activists do not sit behind the driving wheel. To an extent the actual campaign machines that candidates have built for themselves still can shift momentum at the margins, but now it is up to voters who do not live and breath politics the way that we do. NH and Iowa have high voter involvement cultures build up over decades. They do not represent typical electorates in that regard.
If (and if is an important word here) voter support for Bernie far eclipses support for Elizabeth in the contests looming in from of us, no logic is going to move people who prefer Bernie to vote for Elizabeth instead in the contests that will follow. At most, the arguments might be revisited at a brokered convention, but much danger lies in that potential scenario.
