CBS announces O'Donnell, King as moderators of SC debate / Fox sets Klobuchar town hall

https://deadline.com/2020/02/norah-o-donnell-gayle-king-cbs-news-democratic-debate-1202863651/

Norah O’Donnell and Gayle King will moderate next week’s Democratic presidential debate in South Carolina, with Margaret Brennan, Major Garrett and Bill Whitaker joining them in questioning the candidates.

The debate on Feb. 25 will be the first that CBS News has hosted this cycle. Twitter is a debate partner, and the Congressional Black Caucus Institute will co-host. BET will simulcast the event.

The CBS News debate will be live streamed on CBSN and on Twitter @cbsnews.

Meanwhile, Fox News announced that Amy Klobuchar will headline a town hall event on Feb. 27 in Raleigh, NC, with Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum as moderators. The DNC is refusing to select Fox News as a debate sponsor, but the network has instead done a series of events with some of the candidates. This will be Klobuchar’s second town hall for the network. She last did one in Milwaukee in May, 2019.

1. It's disappointing... and telling... that a Democrat would do a town hall on fox

3. Klobuchar isn't alone. Sanders, Buttigieg and Gillibrand did town halls on Fox as well.

2. Klobuchar running to Fox News now?

Klobuchar is rapidly getting to the point where her continued insistence at staying in this race is going to hurt her more than help her. Never go full Gabbard.

Much as I hate it, 35-40% of people get all of their news from there. If they don't even get to see and hear our candidates we have no chance. Yes, most of those people will end up voting for Trump anyway, but if we can win over even a small percentage of their viewers we'll be in better shape.

We just need Democrats to turn out and not get depressed like they did in 2016, which was in large part due to the propaganda pushed by Fox News and other conservative media outlets.

10. Eric Swalwell appears on Fox News regularly. Is he "full Gabbard"?

AK is not my candidate of choice, but I have zero issues with her doing a town hall, and maybe getting those not completely in the "Culto de Chump" to hear our positions straight from the candidates themselves.

5. I wish I knew someone who is good at finding past footage from MSNBC (from late 2000).

Every time I hear Nora O'Donnell's name, I want to post the footage of her standing on a deck at the Bush Ranch back in 2000. She was talking dreamily about how good Bush was to the media compared to Al Gore. She threw her head back to talk about being treated so great. It was sickening. I have despised her ever since.

Nora O'Donnell hates Democrats and loves Republicans.

ABC or NBC (though I usually channel surf between them) because she has been so blunt.

Editing to add that she's been tough on Trump since she took over as anchor:
