A valid Bill Kristol tweet

Dear Democrats🙋?♂️,
Just spitballing here. Maybe take a pass on the 78-year olds—a billionaire with NDAs, a socialist, and an ex-VP who’s lost a step? And maybe not the 38-year old small-city mayor or the liberal Harvard prof? Maybe the Midwesterner who resembles Dem 2018 winners?

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

The others are pretty close to the conventional wisdom, such as it is.

His point about 2018 is a valid one and one many don't like to acknowledge.

Since when is Bill Kristol an authority on things Democratic?

The posts' title should be "An Invalid Bill Kristol tweet"

I have to guess he is "recommending" Klobucher, so he seems to be another one who has not visited her website, it is very unprofessional for someone who is running for president. Don't get me wrong, I have always liked her and I still like her, but I feel strongly that she is great in the Senate and that is where she can help Democrats more.

I was very excited about her candidacy when she announced it, but between her performances at the debates and her message on her website I have taken a step back on her, not that I would not vote for her if she were to become the nominee, of course I will, but when you compare her website and that of Warren or Sanders then everyone else, actually, pails in comparison.

That's what Kristol is saying. It has been the elephant in the room for more than 2 years. Issues mean squat compared to substructural realities.

Biden has lost more than a step. As I posted last night, this would be an easy choice if Biden were 8 years younger. Now his mind struggles to quickly find so his mouth can recite. Every response varies in that regard. You can't tell beforehand if it will be the sharp articulate Biden of old or if he'll stumble to the eyes-closed hesitant sputtering version.

I emphasized a year ago that we needed a male version of Amy Klobuchar. That would be a phenomenal blueprint. After last night I'll add that it needs to be a male version of Amy Klobuchar who is more confident and prepared when challenged.

I hoped Beto would emerge. That blueprint had a chance. Obviously he imploded. But I'd always rather identify the blueprint first instead of make-believe with ideas types who the swing public will quickly reject.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
