Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumCan We Get a DU Forum "Bloomberg for Vice President in 2020"?
Everyone I have floated the idea to loves it! Trump will no longer have the financial advantage that comes from selling favors to Saudi Arabia and having the head of the Russian mob as his sugar daddy. This will finally give us parity in a Citizens United World. And after Democrats sweep the White House and both Houses of Congress, the first thing they will do is pass campaign finance reform designed to keep foreign money out US elections. Then, once his job is done, Bloomberg can retire and Biden/Warren/Yellow Dog can select a younger Democrat to run in 8 years.

(7,521 posts)That way they wouldn't have to get an attorney. But yeah put it on the women instead of the billionaire. No wonder you like Bloomberg; you think just like him.

One way or another he wants to call the shots. Either as the man in charge or the man the person in charge owes a billion favors

(9,696 posts)and the video of him talking about redlining. And the other video talking about racial profiling.
He's horrible.
If he wants to put all his money to defeating trumpft without being the candidate, he might redeem himself. Until then, he's just a horrible person.
ps. I also think he started the gun safety advocacy group because he thought it would give him credit with democrats, and all along he was planning to run for president.

(64 posts)there's one bit of speculation that makes the most sense to me.
It's not that his aides/handlers didn't prep him.
It's that he was just too arrogant to listen to them.
They did their best, but he knew best and thought because he's who he is he could just wing it and everyone would love him.
A guy like this would never accept a VP nomination, even if the party wanted him.
And the chances of that after last night are slim to none.
No thanks.
