checking and can find no evidence that NDAs were ever used before. I’ve signed them in my business dealings, particularly when I was working on a product launch for a client. Seems strange to me.

His receipt of severance agreement required it (BCBS/NEOhio) long, long ago in a galaxy far far away when there were no PCs, encryption, or network hackers - yeah, no intimidation there!

Mine lasted 10 years after I left that board-certified employer; term and most likely statute of limitations are over now but ..there were incidents I might have griped about but didn't under that NDA, i.e., unattended weapon in a back hall (was it loaded ; jokes that shockingly could have incited panic (ahhh...the unmistakable voice on the intercom announcing a (fake) robbery in progress; cake genitalia inappropriate considering...; and creepy stuff in the lunchroom fridge among our containers/lunch sacks (patient medical waste) for security dog training, and, oops, failure of a third party to distribute profit-sharing account funds properly, so time-sensitive consequences for me -- his office; his rules and behavior, not always so wise, ethical, responsible, or appropriate, but probably not maliciously intended as a high crime or misdemeanor. Should I even now expect the lightening bolt from above???
