Democratic Primaries

I like a few of the candidates and their positions. but if I had to pick one right now I am honestly still undecided.
I like Biden, Warren and Buttigieg, but in no particular order. pros and cons on each.
I've crossed off Klobuchar, Sanders and Bloomberg.
I've watched every debate, most of the town halls, I read these posts...... nothing moves me closer to deciding.
I've never been this indecisive before. I know I am not alone. according to our stats here at DU 43% of us are still in the same boat.
Also is this going to be decided by delegates? Is that fair?
Also I hate the electoral college.

The brief version of her strengths is simple enough: She would probably make a very effective and progressive president.
She has spent years studying a defining issue of our time: the slowdown in the improvement of living standards for most Americans. Taking on this problem would be her guiding priority, and she would not shy away from ambitious solutions, as Democrats too often have in recent decades.
She has also shown an understanding of how to use the levers of bureaucracy effectively, as she did when creating the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. She understands that bold programs easily understandable to voters are often more politically popular than technocratic programs, as I explained in a recent column.
As Voxs Ezra Klein has written:
She has repeatedly proven her ability to master complex topics, comprehend impenetrable systems, run tricky bureaucracies, recruit and retain excellent staff, build unexpected alliances, persuade the public of what shes learned, and turn those learnings into power and policy.
The case for Warren, then, is clear: She is simply the best person for the job.
(An aside: The other candidate with a strong record of using government effectively is one whos not usually grouped with Warren Michael Bloomberg.)
On top of these strengths, Warren also avoids some of the glaring weaknesses of the other leading Democrats. Shes a sharper communicator than Joe Biden. She has far more experience than Pete Buttigieg. Unlike Amy Klobuchar, Warren talks like a visionary president rather than a process-focused senator. Unlike Bloomberg, she couldnt be accused of buying the nomination, and her nomination wouldnt anger many younger voters.
As for Bernie Sanders, Warrens policies are more fleshed out than his, and she has not suffered a recent heart attack, as the Times editorial board noted.

(25,451 posts)It's easier not getting emotionally involved in one particular candidate, so I'm going to see what the status of the campaign is shortly before my primary and decide then. I really have no idea right now. I know a few it won't be, but I'm fine with many of the majors.
"Also is this going to be decided by delegates? Is that fair? "
If you mean super-delegates, it's possible, and yes, it's fair. That's how it's designed and all of the candidates understood that (some were even involved in the rule-making) going into the campaign. It takes a majority of delegates to win, whether it's during the primary process or at the convention.
"Also I hate the electoral college."
Can't argue with that.

(3,678 posts)Mine is after that, so a lot of delegates will have been awarded. I have my favorites, but I'm waiting to see what happens before I make a final decision. Good luck sorting it out!

(58,618 posts)I have until Mar 10 to decide. Will probably wait until after Super Tuesday to at least see who is still viable.
My first choice went poof! weeks ago. Not sure I have a second choice yet. Too old, too young, to inexperienced, to divisive, too, too, too...
I'm in a blue state. Maybe I should use the Repub ballot and write in Weld.
Nah, probably won't do that. It would be pointless.
