All Russia cares about is sowing chaos and division among Americans.
Russia doesn't care what the result of the election is, all they want to do is divide the American people and grind our political system to a halt. By making it known they are "supporting" Sanders, they have successfully outraged a significant number of people. There are already posts on this forum questioning the results of the election if Bernie becomes the nominee. This is exactly what Putin wants. Time to take a step back and breathe.

1. They have done a great job too
Right and left can barely speak to each other, progressives and moderates tolerate barely each other sometimes.

2. of course Russia cares about the results of the election
look at the russian economy, based on fossil fuels.
look at the advantages russia will reap in a global warming world. Russia doesn't want reduction in fossil fuels, russia doesn't want effective reversal of global warming. the chaos and division are merely the cherry on top of the whipped cream. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

3. Encourging (R's) to crossover and vote for Bernie
in the primary sets up good chances for a Trump re-election.
Great, huh. We're so screwn. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Undecided |

6. No, that's not "all" Russia cares about
They care about the US leaving them alone in Ukraine
Us getting out of NATO Us getting out of South Korea Russia would like us out of Afghanistan Getting out of Syria Removing sanctions, especially the Magnitsky Act Leaving them alone in the Arctic Terminating our agreements with other developing nations so that they can fill the void left by our absence Generally, weakening out international presence and authority Not participating in climate action, so it gives them cover to do the same Weakening out strong ties with European nations (See "NATO" above) And probably a dozen other things Fiona Hill could explain to us. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

8. Oh bullshit.
All Russia cares about is getting their puppet elected (mission accomplished) and reelected (pending) so that he can continue to do Putin's bidding from our White House.
They will support whoever can help them accomplish that and attack whoever they view as an impediment to that. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

10. Yes, I agree, absolutely correct
The story may or may not even be true, as long as the GOP can say they told Sanders about it, and "leak" the story. Then, pretend to be outraged. Causes even more chaos in the Dems, casts more doubt on the elections, and will allow Trump to claim, in the event of a Sanders victory, that it's rigged and fake, and refuse to leave office.
Insidious, and the GOP is completely complicit in this treason. The whole bloody lot of 'em. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |

14. "the GOP can say they told Sanders about it"
It wasn't the GOP, it was US intelligence sources.
Sanders also acknowledged that Russia was trying to interfere in the statement he released, so apparently he was convinced that there was evidence of same. Conspiracy theories aren't required when reality isn't that complicated. ![]() primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden |
