Bernie's got news for the Democratic establishment.

Once again, he's lumping Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff along with Republicans like Mitch McConnell and Devin Nunes.
This should be disqualifying.

And this is why Elizabeth Warren could beat Trump in the general election, and Bernie couldn't. She would have a united party behind her.

Bernie Sanders

@BernieSanders

I've got news for the Republican establishment.
I've got news for the Democratic establishment.
They can't stop us.

ON UPDATE: So far, Bernie isn't even close to 50+%. If he wins a plurality of primary delegates -- but not a majority -- then a second round of voting will take place at the convention. (More, if necessary.) Guess who votes after the first round? THE DEMOCRATIC ESTABLISHMENT.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I would love to see Bernie’s platform enacted. But Americans aren’t ready for him.

But getting to the point of Sanders’ tweet and your apparent sharing of his disdain for the Democratic Party — if you and he have nothing but anathema for the Democratic Party, withdraw from the contest and run as a Green or form your own party. It’s nothing short of criminal to exploit the Party’s assets and resources with your right hand while smacking them down with your left.

116. FDR was the pre-eminent anti-establishment president
Sat Feb 22, 2020, 02:38 AM
Feb 2020

Taken from: Author - Roosevelt - Institute

The Roosevelt Institute champions bold policy reforms that would redefine the American economy and our democracy. Follow us on Twitter @rooseveltinst and like us on Facebook.

"In taking on the vested financial and political interests that had largely brought about the collapse of the nation’s economy, Roosevelt touched a deep nerve in the American psyche. From this moment on, he was forever identified as the champion of the people, as a leader who was not only hated by the “economic royalists” that had seized control of the country, but as a man who “welcomed their hatred.”

"The bond that was created by FDR’s willingness to acknowledge and even highlight the profound gap between those in his own class and the vast majority of working Americans made him much more than just a populist leader. He also became, somewhat ironically, the pre-eminent anti-establishment president."

You can't say anything bad about anyone but Bernie Sanders. That's their version of unity in the democratic party. Geeze! They think the biggest problem is, “if Bernie wins, where will he take the Democratic Party”? Global warming can wait…

Bernie hasn’t changed his message in 40 yrs. It’s called being consistent, and believing in what you are saying, because it is your message not someone else’s. Not being willing to “compromise” or sell-out in order to win.
Some interesting ideas I got from reading and summarizing an article:

JACOBIN:

Why They Hate Bernie
ByBranko Marcetic

"MSNBC’s Joy Reid was once a fan of Sanders, calling him “the great clarion voice in the Democratic Party,” before transitioning to attacking him full time. In fact, the network loved having him on during the Obama years to serve as the voice of ordinary progressives, offering him unqualified praise as late as 2014 for being a “bipartisan dealmaker” and securing “genuine progressive victories” as a senator.

What happened? One answer is that many prominent Democrats and liberals don’t want the things they say they want — whether it’s because it might alienate their donors, hamper their future money-making prospects, or both. Another answer is that, until 2016, Sanders wasn’t considered a threat to Democratic politics as usual.

The Democratic establishment was fine with Sanders when he was just a lonely voice fighting for progressive values, as long as the gravy train for consultants, lobbyists, donors, and former politicians kept on running. But once he went from just a voice in the wilderness to the head of a movement that threatened to upend this arrangement, something had to be done. This was why the prevailing media narrative around Sanders swiftly changed as his chances increased over the course of 2016."

Bernie Sanders, now a millionaire, once called millionaire senators

Sen. Bernard Sanders, a Democratic presidential candidate who has defended his new millionaire status despite building his political career on railing against the 1%, said it was “immoral” for millionaires to be senators during his failed Senate bid in 1971.

Bernie Sanders pushes back at critics of his new wealth: 'I didn't know it was a crime to write a good book'

Sanders: “Well, the process includes 500 super-delegates on the second ballot. So I think that the will of the people should prevail, yes. The person who has the most votes should become the nominee.” He was the sole “yes” vote with five “no” votes from the rest of the primary field.

His response was the direct opposite of his 2016 presidential campaign, when he ran for the Democratic Party nomination against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. In 2016, Sanders called the nomination process “rigged” and withheld his support for Clinton, who had received the majority of party delegates. Although Sanders later threw his support behind Clinton at the party’s convention in July 2016, he made it clear that he disagreed with the nomination process and how Clinton received the majority of delegates.

Bernie Sanders says he won't release full medical records

Speaking during CNN's town hall in Las Vegas, Sanders was asked to clarify whether his presidential campaign would be releasing full medical records, which he previously stated he would do. Sanders will take part in the Democratic candidate debate Wednesday night.

Last October he said, "The people do have a right to know about the health of a senator, somebody who's running for president of the United States -- full disclosure."

Sanders camp admits anti-Warren script was deployed in multiple early states

Sanders initially attributed the talking points to rogue staffers, and supporters launched an online campaign to convince people the document was fake.

Bernie Sanders backs away from 2005 gun vote

Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders backed away from a 2005 vote that gave gun manufacturers immunity from prosecution on Saturday night, announcing in a press release that he supports a proposed bill to amend that vote.

The new position is a reversal from statements Sanders and his aides have made throughout the campaign.

In America are clueless about socialism types and communism. tRump is nationalist he just forgets to say the socialist. Bernie is really a social democrat but people here don't know what that is. I find that after Reagan there are democrats and republicans lite. It is funny to hear so called democrats back pedal when socialism is mentioned when they should be expounding social security, public schools, fire departments, police departments, veteran hospitals, roads and bridges, unemployment insurance, drinking water, military, medicare, fema, g.i. Bill, national parks, bank deposit insurance, hazardous waste cleanup. FDR's 2nd bill of rights every American has the right to:
1 A job
2 An adequate wage and decent living
3 A decent home
4 Medical Care
5 Economic protection during sickness, accident, old age or unemployment
6 A good education

I’m the Democratic establishment. I’ve never voted for a a Republican for any office since I started voting in 1976. I’ve volunteered on numerous campaigns over the course the last 4o some years.

I was pissed last time the party allowed him to run as a Democrat and this time and now I’m furious they allowed him to do it again. But, I’ve said all along if he gets the nom I will vote for him. Blue No Matter Who,

Not anymore.

He is a disgrace. I will not vote for him ever.

155. There are a LOT of questions. One being, what does he do once he learns about it. Answer: nothing.
Sat Feb 22, 2020, 10:01 AM
Feb 2020

Another question: what does he do once the word gets out? Answer: blames the Washington Post and says Democrats are as much his enemy as Republicans, and complains about how it affects him personally, with no reference to the fact that Russia is using him as a pawn to destroy our Democracy.

Question: What will he do about it now? Will he try anything to stop it? Answer: No. It appears he is spinning it to his advantage. He is blaming all his followers' worst behaviors on Russia and taking no responsibility for it. He clearly is going to do nothing other than his tepid memo, and he's going to keep benefiting from Russian interference by saying "what can I do? what can I do? It's everyone else's fault."

Real Presidential.

Sat Feb 22, 2020, 10:13 AM

Do you really think that? You see no room for improvement in his response to this?

You have no problem with his blaming it on the Washington Post, rather than embracing the fact that it was out in the open and calling for help from the intelligence community or any private enterprise to stop it?

You have no problem with the fact that he learns he is a Russian pawn being used to dismantle our Democracy and his response is to tell Democrats they are as much his enemies as Republicans?

You have no issue with the divisiveness of that response at a time when we SO DESPERATELY need to unite?

You have no problem with his using this news to excuse the behavior of his most divisive followers?

Maybe you don't. I do.

There's one big question for me, if it was classified in the way some are trying to portray, who else did he tell this to, within the classification security level people of the Democratic Party ? situation.

Inexplicably, something happened suddenly with the polls in Bernie’s favor, the wins/placement in the first two races etc. it was like someone stepped on the gas and Bernie became the front runner kind of out of nowhere. And yes, he is popular with many who truly believe in him.

But, something was not adding up. And now it does. He was being helped by the exact entity who helped Trump win.

First, get Bernie the nomination, then get Trump the presidency. Bots, money, people. He’s got his real followers and a coordinated and nefarious faction who will literally do anything to push him over the finish line.

They want Bernie and it appears that they are well on their way to meeting their goal. In my opinion a Bernie nomination equals 4 more years of Trump.
