I got a funny feeling that she's still a 'closet' republican who has to run via the democratic ticket in Hawaii, being that the democratic party is so overwhelming in Hawaii (it's this way in STLMO city too, but democratic though), if one wants to run for office and win, you have to grin and bear it, and become a member of the opposing party.

When I moved to STLMO over 40 years ago (coming from a solid republican stronghold to a solid democratic stronghold), I switched to being a hard core democrat, and am glad and proud of it. Especially when I see what the old republican party has devolved into (the republicans will hate this word, devolved, like apes into human beings or vice versa). As a lot of us do, we do care strongly about the human condition, and desire to help others. Republicans seem to worship the dollar, and that is it. Everything they do is tailored to worship their dollars (not spend them, but accumulate them forever, tax free).

People changing political parties is being American in a way, especially since we don't take a test or the like to switch parties (that I know of).

The most important thing is that one would think that those who change party affiliation would learn some of the values of their new party since they switched, but I don't think a lot of them do. They, in truth, don't really care in reality about their new party's values, they simply are running for the seat.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Bernie has said he’d pick a VP candidate that shared his values and I doubt he’d pick a 70 year old given his age

CNN has her with 8 votes with 10% in.

MSNBC is using numbers from reporters and canvassers - not official, but could be accurate.

primary today, I would vote for:
