(57 posts)the real story is who comes in second place, not Sanders domination of the field.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided
Actually there are multiple stories. One is that Nevada is diverse and it puts to rest a lot of the attacks on this site against Bernie.
Another story is the size of Bernie's win in a diverse state. There are other stories but actually I think those might be the big stories. However, spin away to call the second place (whoever it ends up being) the real winner of Nevada.

But I also understand Bernie might want a younger moderate to balance the ticket. A Bernie/Harris ticket would be quite good I think.

(3,363 posts)Sorry, party purity is nonsense to me. George Washington warned us about irrational allegiance to political parties. I will vote for whomever is on the Democratic ticket and who supports Democratic policies. But I see no issue with an Independent who almost always votes with Democrats picking someone like Harris as his VP. I'll take 10 Bernies over 1 Joe Manchin.

(10,200 posts)and I am a Democrat.
I'm so disappointed in Sen Sanders. I listened to him for years on Thom Hartmann's show and thought he had some valuable things to say. But his candidacy in 2016 turned me off to him completely. When he called Planned Parenthood "The Establishment", that was the last straw for me.
primary today, I would vote for: Joe Biden
OliverQ
(3,363 posts)For that reason, Democrats should vote for him if he's the nominee. Anything else means Trump wins again.

On edit: And anyone who disparages Planned Parenthood as "The Establishment" is actively working against MY rights.

(3,363 posts)We only have two party options on a ticket, and Bernie is the Democratic front-runner.
If you're not willing to vote for him if he's the nominee, then you're voting for Trump, and no true Democrat would ever do that.

(3,363 posts)Because people having been talking about the free Obama phones for years. Obama was called a Socialist for 8 years.
Bernie is not giving people things for free, he's talking about better use of tax money and social programs to help those who need it, instead of just letting billionaires get trillions in tax breaks.

(13,091 posts)I know I feel that way.
I am tired of the monopolies that control the news, the internet, phone service etc.
I am tired of the wasteful spending by the Pentagon and corrupt contractors.
I am tired of the health insurance companies gouging us.
I am tired of the pharmaceutical companies charging us outrageous prices.
I am tired of the obstacles put up by corporations to stop unions.
I am tired of the corrupt justice system.
I am tired of people being arrested and jailed because of marijuana.
I am sickened by private prisons.
I am sick and tired of the attacks on women's rights.
I am sick and tired of racist policies.
I am outraged that our politicians have allowed all of this to happen.
My list goes on and on.

I can't wait to hear the game plan for retaking the Senate from the Sanders' camp. There are 400 bills sitting in file 13 in McConnell's office.
What is the realistic path that a President Sanders has to overcome that obstacle?
I voted for Bernie in my 2016 primary, but the stakes are a bit higher now, and I really don't want 4 more years of Trump and the GOP Senate more concerned about power/party over country.
