Tell vets you know that Sanders said US policy in Vietnam was almost as bad as what Hitler did

I posted about this yesterday, after having run across this for the first time:

https://www.democraticunderground.com/1287553951

One of the people I told about this offline is a vet who was in the military then, and who supported Sanders in 2016, and supported him more than any other candidate last year, but had begun to consider other candidates as well, though also still liking Sanders.

He cares about vets at least as much as he cares about Sanders, though.

And that Sanders statement about Vietnam, the comparison to Hitler, was the last straw for him, and he'll no longer consider Sanders.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I had a guy tell me he was a "Vietnam vet" because he served in Germany in 1962,
and, he said, Google says the Vietnam War began in 1955.

Therefore, he said, serving anywhere in the military between 1955 and 1975 makes you a "Vietnam vet".

I tried to explain to him the difference between a "Vietnam vet" and a "Vietnam Era Vet"
but he says the baseball cap he bought at 7/11 proclaims him to be a "Vietnam vet".

Taking the side of other countries in wars is never a good way to influence people to vote for you. Bernie will certainly be asked to expand on what he said about the USA and Hitler.
Trump will have lots of money, Bernie will not. In the general Trump will get all the Russian help, Bernie will get attacked. Bernie will be asked about his socialism every time reporters get within shouting distance.
Bernie will lose and we will be lucky to hold the house. Kiss the ACA goodbye and only Trump knows what else, but it won't be a pleasant four more years for establishment Democrats. I'm not sure that it will bother Bernie.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
