Relax everbody. Sanders now has 26 delegates out of 1991 needed. 47 more states...

and a few territories still have to vote. Biden is second in NV and will win SC that's coming up in a week. That will tighten the race and then comes SuperTuesday which should narrow it even more when the lagging candidates (so-called moderates) drop out and their support moves to probably Biden.

Again, relax. There's a long way to go.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Just to be clear.

If you look at the First Round vs Second Round popular vote totals in Nevada at this link:
https://www.cnn.com/election/2020/state/nevada?xid=ec_btn_nevada

you'll see that Bernie is getting a higher proportion of the votes that came from Buttiegieg, Warren, Klobuchar and Steyer than Biden is.

Additionally, some national polls (eg Morning Consult's huge weekly tracking poll) are doing a "Second choice" question, and Sanders gets picked as second choice between 20% and 38% among supporters of the various other candidates.

Outside of DU and the cable news, I don't think most people see this as Bernie vs the Moderates. The polls, and the results so far, surely don't show it is the case.

I totally agree, though, that the picture will be much clearer after Super Tuesday, especially with Bloomberg being on the ballot. I am so curious to see how it will all shake out!

Sat Feb 22, 2020, 10:56 PM
Feb 2020

THAT is what I’m waiting for.

By the, too, we’ll have had one more debate, and one last primary before Super Tuesday. That should show several things:
1) will Joe Biden be resurrected by the KEY voting group for Dems: black voters? Especially if he has any kind of good finish from Nevada. That would have to be second place. NOT 4th or 5th.
2) will Bernie prove that HE has legs with black voters?
3) will Amy Klobuchar and Elizabeth Warren again show sluggish numbers? Could count them out. Amy had a good night, two debates ago, but what started to go up went back down.
4) will Mayor Pete continue as an also-ran? He’d need a 1st or very strong 2nd finish to maintain his position as a player. Otherwise the momentum will go to somebody else.
5) will Bloomberg rebound after a poor showing in the Nevada debate? Will he learn from that and show he’s better-prepared in South Carolina? Is his Nevada debate disaster just a mulligan? Or is it the beginning of the end? He only gets one more shot, IMO.

Again, PERCEPTION matters. Perception is freakin’ EVERYTHING!!!

It is unclear if Bernie cares about such things, since he practices false equivalency with such glee.

Nonetheless, you are right in one very important way. Even though Senator Sanders will likely be able to get squat all done and he will probably complain about what democrats accomplish (assuming we can win the Senate with Bernie bashing democrats),

Bernie is not a sadist. That is much better than our current situation.

win the nomination in the end.
Regardless who wins though we need to give them our full support because if we fail to do that we will get at least 4 more years of that motherfucking shit stain that is currently President.

It'll be okay. Trust me. Bernie will win and and the sky won't fall, only the orange tyrant in D.C. will.

So breathe, people, and feel the inner-peace that comes with the confidence of knowing Bernie will be great President for all Americans, especially those most in need.

That Donald Trump only won a small percentage of the total in the first few primaries. The more Bernie wins the more momentum he's going to gain, much like Trump. 2016 saw Trump and his voters pull the rug out from underneath the Republican establishment. We might be witnessing the same thing now.
