(2,706 posts)Bernie is having a great night. But he does not have half the vote. His vote share was 35% (in line with the pre-election polls). They should report it accurately.

(945 posts)I think its the convoluted way Nevada awards the delegates that accounts for the discrepancy

(199 posts)To determine the winner just like Iowa. The alignment numbers are to make the popular vote numbers public, they do not affect who officially wins or loses the caucus.

(2,706 posts)Bernie was angry when the media focused on Iowa delegates rather than the popular vote.
Now the media is focusing on Bernie having half the vote. But he does not. He has half the delegates.

(199 posts)Of the state delegate equivalent on screen during Iowa Pete 26.1 Bernie 26., they are doing the same today. So it hurt Sanders that day and now it's helping him and making the others look really bad.

(2,706 posts)Someone could have voted for Pete in a certain precinct. If he wasnt viable, then the voters second through fourth choices could also not have been viable. The voters fifth choice could have Been Bernie, abs so there was realignment to him.
Its a data point, but you never know the real circumstances. The real results are the first vote, and the state delegates awarded.

(11,996 posts)And hell likely get close to 60% of the delegates if pete only gets 2 or 3. Cause he has 2x as many as Joe so 66% vs 33%, i think.

(2,706 posts)Bernie got 1/3 of the vote. Thats still a big win over everyone else.
But it wasnt half of the vote. Hes going to get half the delegates though.
The media, and people here, should report it accurately.
