MSNBC is not reporting the NV results accurately

Bernie will get nearly 50% of the delegates. But his vote share is nowhere near 50%. You wouldn’t know it by the talking heads. Here are the current results though.

FEBRUARY 22ND NEVADA CAUCUS RESULTS
FIRST ALIGNMENT
PERCENT REPORTING: 37%
34.5% Sanders
18.5% Biden
15.4% Buttigieg
FINAL ALIGNMENT
PERCENT REPORTING: 43%
40.3% Sanders
19.9% Biden
18.1% Buttigieg
STATE DELEGATE EQUIVALENTS
PERCENT REPORTING: 43%
46.8% Sanders
20.7% Biden
15.1% Buttigieg

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Bernie is having a great night. But he does not have half the vote. His vote share was 35% (in line with the pre-election polls). They should report it accurately.

I think it’s the convoluted way Nevada awards the delegates that accounts for the discrepancy

To determine the winner just like Iowa. The alignment numbers are to make the popular vote numbers public, they do not affect who officially wins or loses the caucus.

Bernie was angry when the media focused on Iowa delegates rather than the popular vote.

Now the media is focusing on Bernie having half the vote. But he does not. He has half the delegates.

Of the state delegate equivalent on screen during Iowa Pete 26.1 Bernie 26., they are doing the same today. So it hurt Sanders that day and now it's helping him and making the others look really bad.

Someone could have voted for Pete in a certain precinct. If he wasn’t viable, then the voters second through fourth choices could also not have been viable. The voters fifth choice could have Been Bernie, abs so there was realignment to him.

It’s a data point, but you never know the real circumstances. The real results are the first vote, and the state delegates awarded.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Bernie got 1/3 of the vote. That’s still a big win over everyone else.

But it wasn’t half of the vote. He’s going to get half the delegates though.

The media, and people here, should report it accurately.
