I'm not a Sanders supporter, but Chris Matthews has made me

angry with his ridiculous, over the top attacks on Sanders.

For some reason, Sanders brings out intense hyperbolic statements and unbearable feelings in a lot of his detractors and in a few of his supporters. When people discuss him, they don't discuss him as a human being with specific policy ideas, but rather as a proxy for revolution or destruction or whatever people claim to see in him.

If he becomes the nominee, that would not be the worst catastrophe possible. The worst catastrophe possible would be for Democrats to refuse to vote for Bernie Sanders in the general election. And that's kind of not on him.

If he doesn't become the nominee, then we will all argue and fight, but we must move forward.

For Matthews to suggest that people voting in a free and fair election for a Jewish candidate is as bad as the Nazis taking over the world... I can't get my head around that. What an insane statement.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Democrats easily could turn their backs on Bernie Sanders. And that would be a catastrophe if he is the Democratic nominee for the White House in 2020. Of course people have a right to vote however they wish, and our votes are often guided by our emotions and our resentments and our fears.

It's not only possible, it is one of the most likely outcomes, namely, the Democrats will refuse to vote for Bernie Sanders in the general election. That would be a catastrophe.

I don't like Matthews at all, and I think it was idiotic for him to come anywhere near that analogy, considering BS is Jewish. I mean geez, dude.

BUT, my interpretation was just that he was saying that's how thoroughly and finally the other candidates were defeated .... that any question of who "won" NV was just as "over" as when that general reported France had fallen.

But yeah, why the fuck latch onto that particular historical event, unless Matthews had actually been thinking that way? But, I think it's a stretch to assert that what he actually said was definitely an equating of the two.

Just stupid on Matthew's part.
