Biden says U.S. intelligence should brief campaigns about Russian interference.....😳

Former Vice President Joe Biden said Russia is behind fake Facebook accounts that oppose his candidacy and urged the intelligence community to disclose to Democratic campaigns Russia's efforts to meddle in the 2020 election.
"The Russians don't want me to be the nominee," Biden said on "Face the Nation" in an interview that aired Sunday. "They spent a lot of money on bots on Facebook and they've been taken down, saying Biden is a bad guy. They don't want Biden running."

No one's helping me to try to get the nomination," he said

Senator Bernie Sanders revealed Friday that U.S. officials briefed him roughly a month ago on Moscow's efforts to help his campaign and suggested Russian bots were behind the behavior of so-called "Bernie Bros," the name given to some of his supporters who troll Sanders' detractors.
Biden called for the intelligence community to brief the other presidential candidates on Russia's efforts to interfere in 2020, saying intelligence officials "should inform the rest of us who are running what they told Senator Sanders

Just as Trump and Hillary were told to do the same in 2016.

Oh, and neither of them advertised THAT briefing. Which of course makes sense in Trumps case.

So seems logical to assume that when candidates get such briefings they're told that it's for their own use only in protecting their campaigns.

We don't know for sure what they were told so until I have proof Bernie was told 'Russia Is Helping You Win', and 'It's fine to tell the world', I'm not going to assume ...

You're telling me that before the Gang of Eight, or the House or Senate Intel Committees were told ... someone from the IC walked up to Bernie and said outright 'we have evidence Russia is interfering in US elections on your behalf, and you are free to tell the whole world that we gave you this briefing, even though we've informed none of the rest of Congress who's actual job it is to receive such intelligence'?

Sun Feb 23, 2020, 02:42 PM
Feb 2020
“In 2016, Russia used Internet propaganda to sow division in our country, and my understanding is that they are doing it again in 2020. Some of the ugly stuff on the Internet attributed to our campaign may well not be coming from real supporters.”

Sanders told reporters Friday after The Post’s report was published that he received the briefing “about a month ago.” Asked why he did not disclose the briefing publicly, Sanders replied, “Because I go to many intelligence briefings which I don’t reveal to the public.”

Sanders offered few details about what officials told him.

“Well, it was not clear what role they’re going to play,” he said, referring to Russia. “We were told that Russia, maybe other countries, are going to get involved in this campaign. And look, here’s the message, to Russia — stay out of American elections.”

So ... his perception is that Russia is hurting his campaign by creating fake supporters who say ugly stuff ... AND he suggests (admittedly doesn't say outright) that what was he was told ... was not appropriate to disclose publicly.

Nowhere does he suggest that 'he knew Russia was trying to help him win'. Creating a bunch of bots or fake accts with real people manning them that act like jackasses is not exactly 'help' in a cut and dry sense.

You got something else?

You know what else is funny is that when Bernie tried to suggest in the past that maybe not all his supporters are 'legit', everyone was all 'ZOMG BULLSHIT' (I know for a fact they're not ALL Russians, myself), or 'He's just saying that cause it's HURTING HIM!' ... now they're "ZOMG WE CAN'T BELIEVE HE DIDN'T TELL US RUSSIANS ARE HELPING HIM!!!"

First off, yeah, he kinda has.

And secondly ... make up your freaking mind. Do these fake Russian supporters HURT HIM, or HELP HIM? Or does it just depend on what's the better spin that day?

https://www.salon.com/2020/02/23/bernie-sanders-medical-records-are-very-reassuring-but-a-key-piece-of-information-is-missing_partner/

While none of the top 2020 Democratic candidates for president have released "full" health records, Sen. Elizabeth Warren has provided 5 pages of data along with a letter from her physician, slightly more than what Sanders' campaign has released. However, as CNN's Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta pointed out, the three letters the Sanders campaign has released "do provide the relevant medical information about his overall health, and important details about his heart."
https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/02/21/politics/sanders-medical-records-bloomberg-fact-check/index.html

His ejection fraction withholding conspiracy is a right wing talking point and probably should be let go. He may in fact be our nominee against a great evil.

Same mentality as Trump and Republican Party. Putin is helping me, but it's okay because it helps ME over everyone else.........

Thru history, Bernie has always been, first and foremost: ME ME ME ME.

We need swing voters and new voters to vote Dem...........And Bernie is making more people want to vote for someone else.

After the three piss ant primaries, all we are hearing is: It's a landslide for Bernie, blah blah blah

Those three states, in total, represent doodle.....less than 1% if my math is correct......

Putin is influencing Trump Voters, Putin is pushing for Bernie to win. Doesn't that tell you anything people........??????????

And, the media that is rabble rousing for Bernie is 80% owned by wealthy Republicans. Does that tell you anything?????

The campaigns already know or believe that the Russians are interfering with the campaign process.

The recent leaks being reported pretty much confirms this.

Are they also meddling in the actual election process as well? Counting votes. As in 2016, we don’t know, and will probably never know, unless there are sources that have reported this to various intelligence agencies around the world, but they will almost certainly not go public with that.

So, what if the campaigns are briefed? What will they do? If “the government“ is not going to do anything substantial about meddling, what is a campaign to do. Do you paragraph and this is where it gets really weird. We may end up with a nominee who has been supported, without his involvement or approval of that interference. And between now and when that happens, we have the remaining candidates for the nomination spending much of their time attacking the issue of Russian interference, as opposed to trump. And their messages get lost in the noise.

And then, of course, you have the other half of the population and the Republican candidate himself whole heartedly endorsing Russian interference. This is the kind of thing the Soviet Union and the US did from the 1950s through the 1980s, before the collapse of the Soviet union. It’s a playbook that Poutney knows very well and on that we have spent decades working on this plan for the destabilization of the US. And with the acquiescence of the former GOP and 60 million republicans, he’s succeeding.

Where are our real patriots in a time of what might be our greatest need? Resignations aren't enough.

Admittedly, it is easy for me to say this. But there are people across the nation who are already becoming desperate about this downward spiral toward a dangerous autocratic State. People are already worried about their own future safety. Their worry is legitimate.
