If he comes out with a strong statement or action plan against Sanders and Sanders wins the nomination anyway Democrats will be hurt in the GE.

If he comes out with subtle guidance against Sanders and Sanders goes on to win the nomination and the GE Obama's stature and legacy will be harmed.

His best move is to let the process play out and support the eventual nominee.

I would hope the Democratic party would be more than happy to have a huge, powerful, and overwhelming candidate to carry their banner into the White House. Also someone should point out to Walter the word is juggernaut, not judggernaught.

Much of Bernie’s base thinks Obama is a conservative. Their leader wanted him thrown out on the street in 2012. They don’t care about anything Obama has to say.

I’m not sure what he can do to help any one candidate either. Sure, maybe if he came out for Biden it might help with some voters but would that be enough?

Obama could despise Sanders with every fiber of his being and he’d still not interfere in the primary process

by appeals to Barack Obama for an endorsement that would appear to subvert the democratic process. Just how Faustian a deal are some willing to make anyway?
