(383 posts)If he comes out with a strong statement or action plan against Sanders and Sanders wins the nomination anyway Democrats will be hurt in the GE.
If he comes out with subtle guidance against Sanders and Sanders goes on to win the nomination and the GE Obama's stature and legacy will be harmed.
His best move is to let the process play out and support the eventual nominee.

(2,042 posts)Much of Bernies base thinks Obama is a conservative. Their leader wanted him thrown out on the street in 2012. They dont care about anything Obama has to say.
Im not sure what he can do to help any one candidate either. Sure, maybe if he came out for Biden it might help with some voters but would that be enough?
