luckily for Bernie the Cuban community now is much, much younger and much more open to an open Cuban policy and less likely to give a shit about a position on a dead Fidel Castro.

There was another thread about this earlier so I went to read more about it. It does seem that there was a successful literacy push early in Castro's time in power.
