My first POTUS Candidate Door Knocker - Bloomberg

Bloomberg Volunteer.

I'm in NJ and our Primary is in early June.

I'm a Democratic Committee Member in our community. IE get to vote for the party line in the County Convention for the Primary. We had the earliest in the State and it went to Warren.

Volunteer asked voter issue focused questions in his Bloomberg 2020 shirt. Asked how far he got in my precinct (I was his first) and gave him the reliably Democratic Voters.

You know what he said? I'll make sure to go to these and recanvass if they aren't home, but we are knocking on every door.

Note - as Committee Member I put every sign for our candidates in my yard - had him note permission to place sign for Primary. Any candidate who lasts until June - can do that.

If you wonder why I'm still undecided - GOP knows to NEVER knock on my door. Historic District prominent corner lot that goes from Tudor to blue yard flare every fall. 😀

I'm sharing this because . . .

If any of the other campaigns volunteers are here - and in NJ - get going in Hunterdon County NJ - 7th District. We flipped it after 40 years to Malinowski in 2018.

There's votes in them thar hills and valleys.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

you must be so happy he won.

Amanpour interviews Congressman-elect Tom Malinowski (D flipped seat that was R since '81)

I want to play something that maybe speaker, certainly Leader Pelosi said to me in September because a lot of people said well you know what, the Democrats don't really have a message to complete with Make America Great Again.

There's no slogan, there's no clear strategy but this is where she laid out in September.

What we're about in our campaign is that we are for the people, for lower health care costs, lowering prescription drug prices.

We're for raising pay checks, lowering healthcare costs, increasing paychecks by building the infrastructure of America and for cleaning up government to make sure people understand that the people's interest, not the special interests are served here in the United States Capitol.

So there she was laying out a strategy and one that clearly is a winning strategy

I think until the very end, this campaign was mostly run on health care, it was run on protecting kids from gun violence, building infrastructure in my state, in New Jersey.

I think the last couple of weeks I think Trump inserted himself into the campaign in ways that were terrible for the country but also bad for his party.

It was fear, demonization and conspiracy theories and in a district like mine, that did not play well, especially after the shootings in the Pittsburgh synagogue because we could link, very clearly, the president's words to one of the worst acts of violence, religious violence, hateful violence in American history and our positive message on practical issues like healthcare, infrastructure, gun violence, the economy, contrasted with fear, was very advantageous for us.

He's hammering the SALT cap.

Due to our income - we are literally paying double property tax.

Yet some states don't have personal income tax.

McConnell, Trump - taking bread off the table of New Jersey folks.

Either the State eliminates property taxes - causing our schools to be the same shitholes as in MS or Fed Gov gives us our second property tax back.

It is my number one issue in this election.

He should - he's a billionaire. He can afford it. I bet anything Axel (his campaign lead in NJ) is paid higher than any other candidates.

The poorer candidates who are Millionaires (Biden, Warren, Sanders) don't have the bandwidth of income that Bloomberg or Steyer do.

Regardless - we have to play nice in the 7th district. I hope he can financially assist Tom Malinowski's campaign. If you want us stuck with Tom Kean Jr (at Trumps rally down in south Jersey a few weeks ago) you will stay out of our way in the 7th District. I'm serious. Focus on your candidate - and leave our Congressman and strategy to ensure he keeps his seat alone.

40 YEARS.

40 years the 7th was held by Republicants. They can't do this, they can't do that.

I read in the latest poll published last week that Bloomberg is +6 for the Dem nomination here in Oklahoma.
Sanders is second.

I wouldn't expect that in OK. Any idea how either would fare against Trump in the GE?

I'm in NJ - the blue line will hold regardless of who the candidate is.

The Democratic party started a new policy in 2016... opened the primary up to Independents.

The only chance against Trump here would be Bloomberg.

Oil/Gas/Energy are still chugging along (NJ is a refinery state) and I know that's a key component of OK's economy too. Bloomberg could message 'prosperity' there.
