Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumDark thoughts on what's going on in the primaries last night
I took some weed for medicinal purposes last nite and the trip was one of the anxiety ones. Generally this is rare for me, but when it happens its always reflected my overall mental state which at the moment is stressed. Im a Biden supporter but just barely, Ill go with any moderate. But even if Bernie wins Ive felt that we will still beat Trump.
Then last nite during the trip something new occurred to me that Im not sure anyone has thought about. What if the Russians are meddling not because they want Bernie to win the nomination, but they know he cannot win and thus it sets in motion a series of steps which results in you know who getting re-elected. Weve looked at this thru the prism of Bernies socialism, but what if its not socialism the Russians are after ... what if they just want Trump back in the Whitehouse and thats all.

But I guess it does take getting high sometimes for certain epiphanies.

(7,376 posts)When we still had our career federal workers, they told us this. They reported the goal was to divide and disrupt. And look at us, even here on DU. The divide and disrupt will give us trump.

(25,111 posts)Nevertheless, what Republicans and Russia should know by now is . . .
That pretty much sums up the Democratic Party per se. When you have free will and thoughts from individuals that seems to create some chaos and disagreements, pros and cons, ups and downs. Democrats generally are not single minded nor a cult.
That is called Democracy.
Anywho, with that, Republicans and with the help of foreign countries need to cheat, steal, suppress, go negative on voting rights and lie like hell (election 2016). Now they say look at 2018, well hell, we came out in full force (no EC). We need to do the same with 2020 across board even in the EC states as well.
In 2016 overall the votes was there for the WH but cheating and stealing did occur in the EC states (3rd party did damage).
We will come together.

(4,463 posts)Hes a useful idiot , who listens well, according to Putin.
Putin attacks us from all sides. It is complexHe uses the Rs to attack us from the right ( trolls, Fox News, gives them money as well) .
And he attacks us from the left. A good vehicle to do that is support Sanders. This way Putin attacks us from the left.
We are bombarded from both sides, and pitted against each other in the process
It is time to coalesce around Joe Biden, imo.
I actually like all the Dems.
I am reminded of a sentence I used to type as practice...
Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party.

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party" is a phrase first proposed as a typing drill by instructor Charles E. Weller; its use is recounted in his book The Early History of the Typewriter, p. 21 (1918).
Had nothing to do with JFK.

As four what they might be doing in regard to the Democratic primaries, we really dont know, but can reasonably assume they are at least using social media to their advantage

(301 posts)Yeah, fortunately, this is NJ state legal weed so I think its real. I was definately a little slow on the uptake here, I was thinking they're after a socialist in the traditional sense, but looks like they're trying to engineer a win-win scenario.

Thats true, I just hadn't thought of it this way. I was thinking the Russian thing was all connected to them wanting to get a pro-socialist US government. But I understand now that this might well not be their true objective at all.
