Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumBernie's entire agenda gets majority support from the American people.
From Democrats, the support is much higher. But even when you poll the entire electorate, you still get majority support. Not just for one or two issues, but for the whole thing, down the line. And for almost all policies, the margin is substantial. For example, worker representation on corporate boards, the policy Bloomberg called "communism", is supported by a margin of 53-22. Medicare for all is the closest, and there the poll numbers can be moved up or down depending on how the question is asked, and what voters are told about the plan, but the "neutral language" poll question gets a majority in favor.
How did we get here? How is Bernie a "far-left" candidate when the American public agrees with him on every major issue in his platform. What kind of "far-leftist" can't come up with a single significant position to advocate for where the majority of the public isn't behind him?

I know what Bernie wants to happen and I do feel its genuine and I don't go with the general negative flow of a lot of people here, but you got to remember as with all these things it doesn't always work out the way you'd want it to.
Reality intercedes, resources are limited and we need to make trade-offs.
Just makes me wonder if Bernie even wins, are we setting ourselves for a major let down of the US public.
