I've been doing mental exercises, practicing working for Sanders or Bloomberg in the

...GE. Interesting that I haven't found myself doing that for Biden. No exercise needed for Warren. Piece of cake, but getting increasingly improbable.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

We disagree on Sanders. Feel the same about Biden but man I wish he'd watch his mouth.

They do have different personalities, different strengths and weaknesses, and have arrived at their conclusions following different logical pathways, but in broad outlines they've identified very nearly the same problems and solutions.

10. Warren herself is much better equipped for economic policy details than any other candidate.

I don't think that's critical for the office of the presidency (although it's important that the president have trusted and informed people with whom to consult). What sort of temperament one can live with depends on what kind of person one is, I guess. I'd be happy with either of them.

7. The only think you'll be doing is trying explain, define, and justify SOCIALISM.

The only think you'll be doing is trying explain, define, and justify SOCIALISM. At that late hour... if anyone is still having to explain and justify it... we're losing. It will be an exercise in futility. No different than the frantic efforts of the passengers on the Titanic trying to bail with chamberpots.

The constant cries about how being a “Democratic socialist” doesn’t mean he IS a communist-type socialist is a moot point. Unless you plan to go door-to-door and explain the difference to all of the voters who equate ‘socialism’ with USSR communism, you are not going to change their minds. They hear “socialist’, and they attach their own (albeit ill-informed) meaning to the term – and it’s NOT the style of government they will vote for.

I’ve seen this repeatedly on the sites I participate in where both Dems and Repubs post: “I don’t want Trump to be re-elected – but I’ll be damned if I’ll vote for a communist.” You can shout all you want about how these people don’t understand what socialism is, or how what Bernie is proposing isn’t socialism as they perceive it. But people vote according to what they believe, and not according to what you think they should believe.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
