Buckle up fellow Bernie supporters, it's time for the kitchen sink.

We see it here on DU, we see it on many of the news channels, and now Bloomberg is going to bankroll attack ads across the country. The kitchen sink is being thrown at Bernie Sanders to try and stop his momentum in the primary. Most of these attacks will be smears and attempts to destroy his character. It's going to get ugly, so don't get discouraged.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

Don't kid yourself, these are going to be a firehouse. Get used to hearing the word Communist, because whether you or I or anyone knows differently, won't matter in the least. The GOP will saturate the airwaves and the internet with the word, and whether in context or not, will take all these interviews and videos and weave their own story. Look what they've done already!! And most of the country i ill-prepared to deal with it.

I'm not justifying it, or liking it, just saying, get prepared, because we're still early in the pre-show, the main act hasn't even gotten warmed up yet

Bloomberg and Bernie reach very different audiences. Bloomberg’s got way more crap against him and this is starting to look very desperate. I expect it will backfire badly.

Biden going negative may have more sway picking off some older folks. But they are all getting mighty scared and flop sweat is never attractive. But it’s the primaries and expected.

someone who seems authentic. Part of why lots of stuff gets thrown at Bernie and doesn't seem to stick isn't that there hasn't been vetting - it's that for 40 years he has established an authenticity that many people (maybe not on DU- but in real world) like and respect.

I do see why Biden feels the need to attack - he's really got to win SC and he is doing what he needs to do. Its primary season and expected and I'm sure Bernie and Joe both know it's coming. It will probably pull some older voters and some black voters that were toying with Sanders into the Biden camp and put SC in Biden's column.

But honestly, I think Warren, Buttigieg and Klobachar aren't going to gain much by going after Bernie. Sanders supporters more than likely would have left for Warren if they were going to. Sanders supporters aren't likely to move into the Pete or Amy camp. They need to pull from eachother's camp - and from Bloomberg's if they want to stay in the race.
