(18,402 posts)Came in second in delegates in the Iowa caucus. Eked out a bare 1.3-point lead in his small near-home state of New Hampshire. And did well in Nevada, but in a caucus that had only 100,000 voters. That number shocked me: a turnout of about 5% from an entire state of 1.9 million eligible voters, even with the new early voting. Thats the size of fewer than 2 of the wards out of the 50 in my city (my ward has 68,000 people).
Why isnt anyone talking about how puny this win is? Instead, were getting victory laps. Maybe this gives him the mo. But theres also an expression: pride cometh before the fall.

(67,782 posts)...(caucuses and open primaries) are behind us.
I believe there are only two more caucuses remaining, the rest primaries, and the majority of those primaries are closed to only Democrats.

(15,751 posts)I cant imagine either party will allow them to continue. I know its a state issue but Iowa made it a mess.
