The Hill describes what's rattling DUers

Democratic Party Dinosaurs Have Seen the Meteor, and It’s Coming From Vermont

[link:https://truthout.org/articles/democratic-party-dinosaurs-have-seen-the-meteor-and-its-coming-from-vermont/|

The roundup:

"...I expect Sanders’s opponents to say ridiculous things as they watch him pull away. It’s primary season; if you’re losing and still acting reasonable, you aren’t trying hard enough. But to watch MSNBC, the so-called “liberal” network, sink into this kind of venomous Fox News-worthy nonsense is a bright, blinking warning light for the entire institution of U.S. journalism.

The establishment wing of the Democratic Party and its cohort of faux-progressive media mouthpieces have been confronted by their own senescence after so many decades of poorly managed control, and they are not liking the taste of it. Even if they manage to thwart Sanders’s nomination with brazenly undemocratic power moves at the convention, the party will never be the same after 2016 and this year’s elections. The writing is on the wall, and it is making them scream on live television.

The dinosaurs have seen the meteor, and it’s coming by way of Brooklyn and Vermont."

His camp lying about the origin of that canvasser script for two days while misdirecting their supporters to blame Warren campaign for ‘planting’ that script online to smear Bernie went way too far. The viciousness directed at her was off the charts.

They didn’t admit the script was from their official organization until two days later. That kicked off the revelations from Warren’s friends that the script was consistent with Bernie’s view that against Trump he believed a woman would be unable to win. That triggered even a worse onslaught against Warren. Sanders could have directed his camp to be honest about the script from the getgo, but, instead he used it to turn sentiment against Warren.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

He called President Barack Obama a POSUCS! Here, on this board he called our Democratic President a "Piece Of Shit Used Car Salesman".

Why? Over ACA and his mistake of not checking into coverage of his own wifes meds before moving from Ma to NH. Thread after long thread, despite DUers trying to give him advice on how to resolve it, he continued to trash the President and the party.

I see he has not his touch at trashing Democrats. He is no longer with us after announcing he would NOT vote for the Democratic candidate.

If the party super delegates try to force Bloomberg or torpedo in Hilary or do anything other than acknowledge a progressive wave and choose one of the top two progressive candidates, they risk anger and alienation.

I can understand if they fear Bernie, and want to follow procedures if he does not have over 50%. But Sanders and Warren together likely WILL have over 50%, and the momentum and ground troops to win. Warren doesn't have the red-baiting/socialism/commie labels and in a new national poll by the Week, she is the 2nd choice in a nationwide poll.

She is the only one who can heal the rift between conservatives and moderates, rather than blowing it up into a Grand Canyon that could be a fiasco in the general election by alienating voters who are progressive but not necessarily party loyalists like those on DU.
