South Carolina is a open primary, you Can be a independent, democrat, replublican or other

All the polls are polling democrats or democrat leaning voters, so the polls are probably not telling the whole story of what will happen in South Carolina.

Independent voters could decide South Carolina since the polls are mostly within the moe.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

Even without the primary being cancelled, it would be an issue Steelrolled Feb 2020 #4

I live in an open primary state, and lots of people say they vote in whatever primary they feel like on a given day.

If true, seems to be a major flaw in the polling system. I wonder if they have other issues on the ballot, such that many Reps will be voting anyhow, and can ask for a Dem ballot.

The results of the GE are never in dispute so the primaries are the only vote we get that has any real influence. Last cycle the primaries were on different days and you had to sign off that you weren't voting in the other one, I know some votes were thrown out for double dipping.

I'm sure there will be lots of "independents" voting for Bernie. Since we don't have registration by party here it's hard to say who is who. Most of my circle are independent types who aren't really happy with either party or any of their choices.

The polling on what republicans plan to do sucks of course but it seems they're pretty divided, there are different opinions on who the weakest candidate is, and different opinions on whether to vote for the weakest or least objectionable candidate.

My Republican neighbor is going to vote for Joe because he's afraid Trump will lose.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
