Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumSean Kings disgusting tweet
This is a flat out disgusting take by a Sanders surrogate. Hes not attacking joe on his policies, hes insinuating based on Joes age and misspeaking, LIKE EVERY HUMAN ON THE PLANET DOES, that he is some how in early stages of dementia. Its disgusting ageism. So I hope all of you clapping along like trained seals, realize once Bernie misspeaks and he will, its coming right back at you. So please when that happens dont scream the media is bias. And realize this is why people attack Bernies supporters as vicious and demeaning.

(29,199 posts)and of course the Bernie folks there started attacking me.
All I did was cite stats about 79 year olds suffering a heart attack the the likely hood of a another attack (within 3.4 years, it's very close to 50/50).

(16,685 posts)I was on the jury that apparently let your comment stand and the only reason i didn't vote to hide it was because i didn't think the alert reason matched what you said. Your comment seems to be the only one that has taken a vitiolic turn and everyone else in that thread seems to be "meh whatever" to Biden's misstep.

(29,199 posts)they HAVE to bring it up.
Honestly I don't really care anymore... the push from the party (at least those that are showing up here and to caucus) seems to be "bernie bernie bernie".
Fine... I think I'll take a break from the primaries... listen, I will vote blue no matter who.
But it is really going to be hard to pull the lever for someone who surrounds himself with so many people that obviously hate democrats and cannot or will not compromise. Not to mention all of the lies these people tell.
But whatever... I guess the people want free stuff... even if they will never get it.
going to tax the billionaires for it? Seriously? These people have the smartest people in the world working for them to help them avoid taxes... they will simply take their billions else where. Tax their corporations? Watch them jump through so many hoops it will make your head spin on how they somehow, magically, don't make any money...
So who is going to pay for the free stuff... people like me... I make a decent upper middle class salary. I, and people like me, who already pay 47 cents on every dollar earned (fed, state, property, sales) we will be the ones asked to foot the bill for the "workers of the world".
But that's ok, in my small way, I have my escape planned as well. Not as easy as the millionaires and billionaires, but enough.
That's if Bernie somehow gets elected... but I seriously doubt that he will... and I can't stand the thought of living here with 4 more years of Trump.
So everyone gets what they want... the progressive left gets to be "purified" and the Trumpanzees get to destroy what's left of a once great experiment in this thing called democracy. Fascism rules the world... but don't worry, the fascists this time are smart enough to let the "progressives" hold meetings and rallies and plan and plot... only to never get anywhere (at least I hope for all of the progressives sake this is true as the alternative is much much worse). But don't count on getting any power.

(45 posts)Eisenhower had a heart attack in office and didn't have another one. And some people thought it was an attempt to assassinate him. You know, all those old silly conspiracy theories.

(40,209 posts)loose cannons on his staff. Earlier today he had to fire a field manager for writing sexist, ageist, and homophobic tweets. Staffing decisions are an indicator of leadership skills and Bernies hiring practices are not encouraging.
