Bottom line for Bernie with regard to democrats

There are two basic camps - those of us who believe a Bernie nomination will be disaster because he makes it WAY too easy for Rs to counter campaign against him AND our house and senate candidates and those who are riding the Bernie train.

End of the day those of us who see this ending up a disaster are going to vote for him because there is no other choice.

So for all of those who are full throated Bernie supporters, save your time and energy for the idiot cons and the mushy middle types who are going to be swayed by their bullshit.

Go out in the world, knock the doors, get your yard signs and bumper stickers out, battle the asshat Rs on the interwebs, and use your powers of persuasion to try to convince those who are going to fall into the comfort of MY GOD ITS SOCIALISM! to give him a try.

You say you have the support to pull this out.

Prove it.

As is common you're reflecting your personal experiance as reality.

I'm no fan of Bernie but I definately don't believe he'd be a disasterous candidate.

More challenges? Sure ... probably quite a gamble compared to either Biden, Pete or Warren, but the stats don't lie and Bernie is still more popular than Trump. He can defeat Trump.

Now can he get his agenda passed? No, but thats probably a good thing looking at most of it and we'll deal with that when it happens.

I said two basic camps, allowing for the space in between the two sides that feel strongly about it.

So, save your projections.

The point stands, come November 99.9% of us going to vote for him, so those folks who feel strongly about him are wasting their time chastising those of us who are trying to resign ourselves to the way this headed and use their time and energy battling the idiot Rs and trying to use their powers of persuasion on those in the "middle" who are going to get real queasy about him ...

Are in your mind because you're strongly partisan to one candidate who has like 1 in 100 chance of getting anywhere. I've hedged my bets and my support goes to any moderate Democrat who can win easy (Biden, Pete or Warren) but then I'm still positive with Bernie if he's the only horse that runs.

The negative mindset you reflect is going to set us up for loss.

Get a grip! We can win this.

I'm just replying to your post, not "slagging" or whatever and when the time comes to convince people will be convinced.

In the meantime, here's two tips for you:

1. Move on from your candidate and start supporting a REAL contender (Biden).
2. Have some tea and calm down.

campaign. There would be people on both sides wishing that their candidate would drop dead of a heart attack and the VP can step up and take over. If Sanders makes a really poor decision for VP even Trump may not save his candidacy because only the Democrats would vote for him. The Independents and never Trumpers might not be able to hold their noses long enough to vote for Bernie and, instead, stay home and not vote.

I have to admit that I not a fan of Bernie at all and the only reason I would vote for him is because of Trump. He is going to have to prove that he will not hurt the down ticket races, our chances to adding to our numbers in the House and making gains in the Senate. The biggest problem with the Democratic Party primaries are that there were way too many in the race (a lot of them eminently qualified) and that ended up splitting the moderate votes and allowed Sanders to take the lead. This year I don't care about a candidate's policy papers all I care about is kicking Trump and McConnell to the curb and making additional gains in the house and senate (taking control of the senate would be a dream come true but not a lock). If we fail to do that who here honestly thinks that a Democrat in the WH will be allowed to have a successful 4 years in office?
