Elizabeth Warren kicks off South Carolina events in Charleston ahead of primary

CHARLESTON — One woman traveled from New York, others simply crossed town to see Sen. Elizabeth Warren appear in South Carolina in the last crucial days to secure votes before the state's Democratic primary on Saturday.

More than 500 people showed up to see the Massachusetts senator and presidential hopeful in Charleston Monday night where she spoke about the need for a wealth tax, support for women leaders and the fight to unseat President Donald Trump in the election.

"Americans are at our best when we see a problem, call it out, and fight back," Warren said to the crowd.

With Warren flanked by Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., Kim Nelson, a candidate for South Carolina's 4th District congressional seat, and Columbia City Councilwoman Tameika Isaac-Devine, among others, a common theme throughout the event was women in leadership.

She should be in Super Tuesday states non stop for the next week. Any place where she is above or near 15%.
