Advisor: Sanders could beat Trump in Texas

Chuck Rocha, a senior adviser to Sen. Bernie Sanders’ (I-Vt.) presidential campaign, argued that the senator can compete with President Trump in Texas, a state Democrats haven’t won in a presidential election since 1976.

Asked by Krystal Ball in a Hill.TV interview whether Texas was in play in the general election, Rocha said “I truly do,” pointing to Sanders’s success with Latino voters in Nevada’s caucuses.

“The Latinos in Texas are coming of age so quickly… it’s just a different group, they’re younger, they think differently… and now they’ve got a full-time bogeyman to focus on,” he said, referring to Trump.

Rocha said that Sanders’ winning 73 percent of the Latino vote in Nevada was “a reflection of a direct investment into the community.”

his wall is unpopular with the folks who live along the border who don't want to lose their land.

Plenty of Latinos and other nonwhites don't like being told they are illegals or otherwise don't belong in this country. Many Texan Latino families were living there before it was the United States. Texas has tons of Indian-American US citizens who don't like being told they're H1Bs.

Texas turnout has been low in past years since it was never considered a swing state. Turnout should be higher this year.

Heck the grandson of GHW Bush is already running an ad attacking socialism in a GOP primary race
TX CD 22 is an open seat with Pete Olson retiring. The DCCC has targeted this seat for flipping. There are 15 candidates in GOP primary including the grandson of GHW Bush. Another candidate, Kathleen Wall, is running in the GOP primary and she spent $6 million in 2018 running in GOP primary for TX CD 2 and did not make GOP primary runoff. I have had Wall block walkers come to my house twice (I live in a very GOP neighborhood) and I have found Wall doorhanger on my door twice now.

Pierce Bush is running against socialism

Sri Preston Kulkarni is the leading Democrat for this seat (Sri has a GOP type and another person running against him in the Texas Democratic Primary) I texted this ad to Sri and he knew about it already. Sri Preston Kulkarni is a great guy and we need to flip this seat

If sanders is the nominee, we can forget about this seat and we will have Kevin McCarthy as speaker

Democratic Candidates: We want to ban certain guns and restrict concealed carry.

Trump and GOP: Democrats are coming for your guns and your right to carry them around.

Trump wins TX by 10 points again.
