He just recently again defended the PLCAA, an NRA-pushed gun immunity law that passed with the help of Bernie's vote in 2005. The vast majority of Democrats voted against the PLCAA.
But for the PLCAA, assault rifle manufacturers would have been sued into bankruptcy, regardless of the expiration of the AR Ban in 2004. If Bernie really wanted to get rid of ARs, he'd work to repeal the PLCAA, or at least stop defending the PLCAA.

This ticket system was the same one used in all of the other Dem debates. And those that were being "sold" were actually intended for sponsors of the debate and included multiple events. There were only 400 seats in the venue, and each candidate got 35 free tickets. That's 245 seats filled right there alone. Then media, sponsors, local VIPs, etc. got the rest.

Maybe, just maybe, some of the things Bernie said were over the line, like the obviously incorrect claim that Bloomberg is only supported by billionaires. That deserved the booing it got. Wed Feb 26, 2020, 01:27 AM
Feb 2020

Getting into one of the Democratic debates is like getting a ticket to the Super Bowl or the World Series.

Ordinary Americans don’t just walk up to the window and buy a seat for $28.50. Often, they got one free from someone important — like one of the candidates (who are each allotted an equal number of seats), a Democratic Party official or someone who works for the news network hosting the debate.

And then there are the seats available for sale. The state and local parties that help organize the debates offer the option for people interested in attending to “sponsor” the debate. This was the case tonight in Charleston, S.C., as it has been in other debates over the last seven months.

The Charleston County Democratic Party offered sponsorship options ranging from $1,750 to $3,200, which included admission to the debate as well as access to other gatherings surrounding the event, according to a local news station, WCSC. “This is something that the average person doesn’t usually get to go to,” the station quoted the county party chair as saying.

The apparent support for Bloomberg from the crowd raised questions about whether there was an outsize presence of his supporters in the audience, given the extensive cheers he seemed to garner at the event compared to the one that took place in Nevada. Speculation on Twitter was only amplified by a local news article that went viral, which claimed tickets started at a whopping $1,750 to $3,200 for donors looking to sponsor a package of events, including the debate. An update was later published to indicate that these ticket options were removed from the Charleston County Democrats’ website.

And the jeering in general seemed weird. I didn't think it was Biden or the DNC that did it, but rather somehow Bloomberg managed get his people to pack it. Although, it was just a passing thought and not something I really gave any serious consideration (and still don't)
