This election is not just about electing the president.

It is also about keeping the House and getting a Democratic Senate. Whoever is the nominee will determine if that is possible.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

to get things done, not to pick the most talented vocalist on “American Idol.”

One of the reasons I’m leery about that politician from Vermont is that I don’t believe he has political coat-tails, coat-tails the Party desperately needs to expand our seats on the Senate, keep the House of Representatives, and flip as many statehouses as possible.

If I genuinely believed that what’s-his-name could bring in hordes of new voters (So where are they?) and bring our Democratic candidates across the finish line to victory, I’d sit down, stop (complaining), and turn my bile back on Donald Trump and the Republican Party.

Puppies, unicorns, and magical thinking won’t bring Democrats to victory.

If they were, his numbers in the caucuses and primary should be better than they were in 2016.
