And another smear attempt goes poof

?s=20

This is a prime example of the media running with a soundbite to push their narrative. @JoeBiden was literally telling the story of how he got into politics and his campaign for US Senate. He's told this story before. He was quoting himself from the trail then. Context matters.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

You can tell because... context. Here's how it starts:

"And you're the ones who sent Barack Obama to the presidency, and I have a simple proposition here. I'm here to ask you for your help. Where I come from, you don't get far unless you ask. My name is Joe Biden, I'm a Democratic candidate for the United States Senate..."

I can guarantee you, his old speech where he asked people to send him to the Senate did NOT start with "you're the ones who sent Barack Obama to the presidency" because, of course, he hasn't run for the Senate since Obama became president.

And you know, if it wasn't the mental flub it seems to be, Joe's people would have been out getting on everyone for making a gaffe out of something that wasn't one.

Look, Joe is Joe. This stuff is not "disqualifying." But the disingenuous attempts to deny this stuff happens doesn't reflect well on anyone.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

He is famous for his gaffes, why add more voluntarily? I know supporters are trying to defend him, how about if supporters instead of having to run out to defend the silliness of that comment don't write to him to stop doing it? Of course, if in fact this was not another one of his gaffes.

"Anyone who read Biden's autobiography or followed Biden over the years knew what he was saying."

Sorry, but that is even worst, he needs to talk to everyone, not the very few who have read his biography or followed Biden over the years, the number of fanatics is limited, he needs to reach everyone.

I agree, his policies, his experience, and his ability to beat Trump are the things that matter. I think this flub is a non-issue.

But that doesn't mean it wasn't a flub. I know you said you watched it twice, but in case you didn't read my post #17, the key to it not being a retelling of his campaigns for Senate (as people have put forth) is that it starts with his talking about how they supported Obama... and none of his Senate campaign statements could possibly have used that as a launching point.
