She's been gone 12 years, but the memories are still with me.

Anyway, I think she and my father would have picked Biden too. They were very practical, down to earth Democrats. Both WWII veterans, so they knew what totalitarianism is all about.

A Biden versus Trump contest will literally be a battle of Good versus Evil. On the one hand, there's Joe Biden, a lifelong public servant, humble, with an abundance of empathy (which he gained, sadly, through the loss of his first wife and young daughter in a car accident and his son, Beau, from brain cancer), and two sweet German Shepherds (had to add that! German Shepherds rock!). On the other hand, there's Trump, a lifelong con artist, boastful with nothing to be boastful about beyond being able to defraud a lot of people out of a lot of money, who is empathetic MINUS the "em," and who hates dogs and quite possibly all of his kids with the exception of Ivanka-be-just-like-my-dad-and-make-shit-tons-of-money-illegally.

The contrast between them when they're standing side by side on the debate stage will be stark and extremely unflattering to Donald Trump.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

But Joe has been my #1 choice. His tenure with Barack Obama a d his service in the US Senate has prepared him well.

Age is not an issue here. Joe is passionate, empathetic, sincere in what he stands for. Dignity, principles, values are key attributes I look for. They all have them, which is why Democrats have such a deep Bench.

I do wish Bernie was a member of the Democratic Party for me to be fully behind him.

If I were to vote in a presidential

This is good news for Joe Biden!

Amy and Pete are both great. Both of them are highly intelligent and extremely hard working. Both of them know the importance of not veering too far to the right so that we Democrats can pick up some independents and disaffected Republican votes. They are both young enough that they can get another crack at the Presidency down the road. If anyone knows that it may take more than one try, it is Joe Biden!

Thanks again. Let's made Trump into just a bad memory!

Wed Feb 26, 2020, 10:16 PM

started looking at it a little closer at the members who were posting and it made me wonder if we didn't have someone trolling us. when I looked at there were 42 responses that were all good. The first 39 or so were mostly members who were long time members of DU and had posted anywhere from around 2000 posts up to 67,000 posts in the past. The last 12 or 13 were from newbies who had posted anywhere from 23 to 1200. their posts on this thread were all in a time frame from 10:30AM to about 1;PM.

It may all just be coincidence and I don't know why anyone would be tolling favorable replies.
But it did make me wonder.
