(1:30 mins) South Carolina Debate exchange, Feb. 25, 2020. Before it's over Warren's likely to take someone to the woodshed out back as in days of old. Lol. *Note Mayor Pete's response.

~ The Fierce Agency of Elizabeth Warren, Daily Kos. Feb. 26. 2020 ~
Elizabeth Warren is on a mission to save America. "Progressives have got one shot, and we need to spend it with a leader who will get something done," Warren emphasized, laying out the stakes of the 2020 election at the outset of Tuesday's Democratic debate in South Carolina.
Warren was setting the scene before the Palmetto State weighs in on the contest Saturday along with another 15 states and territories voting on Super Tuesday, March 3. By the time all is said and done, more than a third of the delegates will have been decided in the race for the nomination. Democratic front-runner Sen. Bernie Sanders will either emerge with a sizable lead that makes him virtually unstoppable, or he will have the company of one or two other candidates, and it could be a fight to the finish.
But anyone who tells you they know how this will all play out is wrong. And Warren has spent the past two debates building a convincing narrative for why she's the best Democratic candidate to both take down Trump and govern the nation.
The crux of those arguments came within the first few minutes of each of the last twoand arguably most consequentialdebates. In the first, Warren greeted Michael Bloomberg's entrance onto the stage with a jaw-dropping takedown, likening him to a Trumpesque "billionaire who calls women fat broads and horse-faced lesbians." Democrats could not win, she warned, "if we have a nominee who has a history of hiding his tax returns, of harassing women, and of supporting racist policies."
Up to that point, Bloomberg had been steadily rising in the polls, buoyed by the inflated promise of an unopened gift that, whatever its contents, would be accompanied by gobs of cash. Now his numbers have either "stalled out or begun to reverse themselves," writes FiveThirtyEight's Nate Silver. "Bloomberg is in quite a lot of trouble," Silver adds of the former New York mayors present standing in the race. His national polls have stalled out or begun to reverse themselves. He's fallen to 11% in our CA polling average...

(713 posts)Warren did the smart thing and smacked down early. Elections need to be won democratically, not bought. If money is mainly what a candidate has, it is not enough. There needs to be a strong, democratic, grassroots foundation. Elizabeth Warren is a smart cookie. I like her a lot. She has run an admirable campaign and would make an excellent President.

(713 posts)And the thing Warren points out in the video clip is that Bloomberg has been supporting Republican Candidates up until very recently. Not surprising, considering that Bloomberg was a Republican for a long time, and is only recently now a Democrat. I had a post removed recently for calling Bloomberg "Republican Light". It is not a smear, though. It is just an accurate description of the candidate. And I have seen other candidates called much worse here on DU, with little or no repercussions.
I think Warren is very smart to go after Bloomberg, He is basically trying to buy the nomination. That said, I think Joe Biden should come out against Bloomberg also. I think that Bloomberg is more of a threat to Joe's campaign more than anyone else. Bloomberg has been spending millions and millions on ads in South Carolina and Super Tuesday States, and it is probably hurting Biden's chances more than anyone else's. So, I am not a big Bloomberg fan, and I think Warren was right on target in the debate. I would like to see Joe Biden and the other candidates address Bloomberg's campaign in the same way.
