I hate a man who whines. I also dislike one who changes the rules to benefit themselves.

The facts aren’t in dispute that he opposed superdelegates and was just trying to work within the existing system. He subsequently tried to change the system to get rid of superdelegates altogether as inherently un Democratic, same as now.

It is that the party quickly changed the rules to accommodate him and to include him in the ballot without even demanding that he first change his registration.

If the nominee, will he change it?

Without the Super Delegates, though, it is not true that "Clinton had the majority needed to win." If she had, the SD discussion would have been moot.

and she had a clear majority. It's kind of unfair to include the relatively high number of super delegates in the equation and then argue she couldn't win without them. Yeah, technically it's true, you need to make up these 500 SDs with a larger lead in pledged delegates and she wasn't that far away from doing that.

7. Wrong. He said he wanted super delegates that were in the states he WON to support him and vote
Thu Feb 27, 2020, 02:42 PM
Feb 2020

the way the regular folks did in their states. He said that any state that was very close, he urged the dels to decide and vote for him if they thought he was better able to beat Trump. He did not ask any dels from states won strongly by Clinton to vote for him. By asking dels from the states he WON - he was asking for democracy.

It made a big difference. Couple of examples:
NH Bernie won 60.14% of vote. 6 of 7 super dels went to Clinton
CO Bernie won 59% but all 9 super delegates went to Clinton
MN Bernie won 62% but 13 of the 14 super delegates went to Clinton
MA was Clinton 49 to Sanders 48% but 21 of 22 super del went to Clinton
KS Bernie won 67% but all 4 supers went to Clinton
NB Bernie 57% but 3 of 4 supers went to Clinton
ME 65% but 4 of 5 went to Clinton
There's more but you get the drift. So . . . really not wrong for Bernie to ask the super dels to vote in his favor.

Hillary won a MAJORITY of the delegates -- she didn't need superdelegates at all to push her over the top. Sanders was the one trying to get superdelegates to overturn the will of the MAJORITY of both voters and delegates.

Didn't work, though, did it? Rules are good, as long as they benefit the person who wants them to be in force. The minute they don't, the same person doesn't like the rules.

There's a word for that...let me think...starts with "hypo..."
