Early voted today in Texas.

Top of the ticket should be obvious by my stated preference.

Then it gets complicated.

A lot of the candidates I've never heard of.

Others I've heard of but they're running uncontested.

So I cheated.

Whenever there were gender choices in the candidates, I chose the female candidate.

Whenever there were ethnic choices, I chose the Hispanic candidate.

Whenever there was no choice, I chose the one candidate.

On and on down the ballot, to Tax assessor collector.

So shoot me.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Many local offices are non-partisan, you have to dig to find the person's party affiliation. Blue_true Feb 2020 #9

If the uncontested choice is someone I've heard of and don't like, then I go with the no vote.

And THANKS!

People Of Color (Black, Latinx, Asian, Native American, Pacific Islander) over White People
LGBTQIAPK+ people over straight people like me
Smart People over Ignorant People
Nice people over mean people

By voting the way you did, you could boost a few republicans.

I'll be heartbroken if a Republican gets elected Tax collector because of my poor voter information.

Florida does that with Judges, I have to dig for info to make an informed choice. You vote the way you vote, it is your vote, not mine, I just pointed out a risk of doing it that way.

All the candidates have the same party affiliation.

Whoever I chose was a Democrat.

The only way I could vote for a Republican is to accidentally vote for a weak candidate for the general elections.

but I've eliminated some of the possibilities. I've made up my mind as far as the U.S. Representative race in my district is concerned. I still need to investigate the state House and state Senate races. I'm not particularly knowledgeable about the other state races, judicial or local races.
