Bernie Sanders campaign challenges Iowa recount results

The state Democratic Party will certify the results on Saturday, but Sanders' campaign said it has filed a challenge with the DNC.

The Iowa state Democratic Party has completed its partial recount of the Feb. 3 presidential caucuses, and the result hasn’t changed: Pete Buttigieg still has a very narrow advantage over Bernie Sanders in state delegate equivalents.

The state party announced Thursday evening that it recounted results in 23 precincts that were requested by both campaigns, and Buttigieg leads Sanders by roughly one state delegate equivalent, a difference of about four hundredths of a percentage point.

The results are still unofficial: The state party must certify the results by Saturday, the day of the South Carolina primary. And the Sanders campaign says it has already asked the Democratic National Committee to step in and review the recount process in Iowa.

12. Warren's camp would be suspicious as well if she was getting the negatives from DNC & Democrats

DISCLAIMER: I am not, yet, a Sanders supporter, but the war against him is going to bite us hard, and it is disgusting.

The war on Bernie has been constant, and the maneuvers the DNC did in 2016 against Sanders, which seem to continue, is enough justification to be concerned, if I was Sanders, heck, I am not Sanders and I am concerned...what am I talking about? The war on Sanders is real, it is out in the open, it is here in DU. One would think Democrats would be ecstatic at the prospect of one of its candidates having polls all over the country with such an overwhelming lead against the creature in the WH, but no, everyone who seems to be not voting because Bernie IS winning the votes, seems to want the status quo candidates.

The saying "don't fix it if it ain't broken" has changed to "don't fix it even though it is all broken". The majority of the country want what Sanders is offering, but the status quo doesn't want it, we all know Healthcare and Education are very broken, but hey, lets give trump four more years and Betsy Devos four more years as well to allow them enough time to completely break everything, why not, as long as we keep the status quo. Is it because people like to complain that things are bad? Do they think they will miss that if Sanders manages to fix, at least those two, Healthcare and Education?

16. There were no "manuevers" by the DNC against Sanders in 2016.

Hillary won a MAJORITY of the popular vote -- by approximately FOUR MILLION VOTES -- and a MAJORITY of the (non-superdelegate) delegates outright. Any result other than Hillary being the resounding nominee in 2016 would have been *actual* overturning the will of the voters.

5. They've already recounted twice. What does he want, repeated recounts until he's the "winner"?

That is what the GOP does to fight recounts. It is what George Bush said when he was fighting a recount that would have shown Al Gore as the winner of the 2000 election.

Bernie can have as many counts as he wants and it won't change the result if he hasn't truly won.

There should be a state-wide recount. Every precinct should be recounted or recanvassed. And then we can have a final result.

10. His campaign hand-picked the precincts they wanted recounted. I think they're doing this...

...because they want to continue to (falsely) claim that they "won" Iowa.
