Democratic Primaries

I'm in San Diego CA. Voted on an electronic ballot. Touchscreen. Was quite easy for me, but I'm quite tech-savvy. I could see where some folks, especially older folks could have problems. There were a ton of election staff around to assist, but this was at the county elections office, where early voting was allowed. Not sure how it will be at the actual polling sites on Tuesday. As I said the process was easy. Once I completed the electronic ballot a paper ballot was printed out. The paper ballot had a QR code. I could easily see my voter selections to validate the ballot was correct. This paper ballot was then inserted into a sealed envelop and placed in the secured, locked ballot box.
I'm assuming the electronic ballots are used for the actual tabulation, but the paper ballot provides a verifiable paper trail.
Overall it was a good and easy experience.

(3,764 posts)Has made it very easy to vote. During early voting you can vote at any polling station in the county. The last election they extended that to election day. I like the way my county votes.
