(51 posts)but ever since I saw "Our Brand Is Crisis" I can't help laughing when people resort to "the most important election of our lifetime."
But anyway, yeah, I get it.
We can't risk:
- electing the guy who might have dementia
- electing the guy that people under 50 can't get behind
- electing the guy with the history of harassing women
- electing the guy with the history of harassing women
- electing a woman
- electing someone who isn't a woman
- electing someone who is too old
- electing someone who is too young and inexperienced
- electing someone who is white
- electing someone who isn't white
- electing someone who is too far left
- electing someone who is too moderate
I don't think we should nominate anyone. It's just too risky.

(10,870 posts)Do we go with a moderate who may/may not bring out more moderate Dems/Indys/Never Trump Repubs but may/may not suppress our unexcited progressive base.
Or do we go with a progressive who may/may not bring out an unprecedented number of 18-35 and juice up our base but may/may not get many moderates or never Trumpers.
I had hoped Warren could split the difference and unite us but I think sadly think her ship has sailed.
We MUST have someone that can win Wisconsin/Mich/Pa AND have some coattails in Senate races like Col/Az/NC/Maine.

(32,017 posts)I intend to listen to the will of the voters and vote blue no matter who. I like ALL of our potential nominees. They're much better than our choices in 1988 and 1992; I can say that, at least.
No, from my perspective, the primary vote I will soon cast is no great risk.
