Woman Asks Biden 'What is Your Fire' Like Bernie & Warren, Biden's Answer Gets Ovation From SC Crowd

Mediaite article by Tommy Christopher with video (two clips, the second one on the page slightly more than a minute long, the first one on the page over 10 minutes):

https://www.mediaite.com/news/woman-asks-joe-biden-what-is-your-fire-like-bernie-and-warren-bidens-answer-gets-ovation-from-sc-crowd/

“Cuz you see Bernie, you see Elizabeth Warren, you see that fire. That’s what I’m looking for,” Barry continued, and asked, emotively, “What is your fire?”

“Decency and honor and restoring this country’s [soul],” Biden said, as the audience leapt to its feet and applauded.

“No let me, what got me, no it’s an important question,” Biden continued through the applause, and said “The fact that I’m not screaming like Bernie and waving my arms, or, like Elizabeth, is not lack of fire.”

“The fire that has always ignited my interest in every issue I care about is everyone is entitled to be treated with decency,” he went on to add.

Note: I added the word "soul" in brackets there because Biden is saying that, as the noise from the crowd begins to drown him out, but Christopher didn't include the word.

This is just the start of the 10 minute video clip with the article. And if you don't have that much time to check this out, the second video clip on that page is edited down to just the start of the exchange.

The article goes on to give some details about what else Biden said, but I hope you'll also watch the video to see the crowd's enthusiastic response.

As Tommy Christopher says, this is "the essence of The Biden Show: freewheeling, personal, and overflowing with authenticity."

And overflowing, too, with decency and empathy.
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

This is not a wish-list election. This is a save-our-democracy election. Let’s get back to normal first, then we can work on what we want to do next. If we don’t win in November, we don’t have a country.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
