Assuming some of the votes for Sanders were from Republican Trump supporters, just how low

was Sanders's real support in South Carolina?

They do not register by party in SC and any voter can vote in the Democratic Party primary. Last night at a big rally in Charleston Trump suggested his supporters vote in the Democratic primary for the Democrat who would be his weakest opponent and he ran a "poll" that found Sanders to be the weakest opponent.

It's likely many of these voters would have gone with Biden too. Steyer is a progressive but he believes in regulated capitalism, not socialism.

It seems unlikely that Project Chaos voters are sufficient to explain Sanders making the 15% cut-off but......
