Steyer shows leadership and maturity by dropping out

I believed Steyer was going to be the most effective candidate with the strongest, most dedicated vision for our country, but he knows as well as I do that he is not going to win the Democratic nomination. He knew that what's best for the country is to drop out and give the stronger candidate between Sanders and Biden the chance to win this nomination, get rid of Trump and save our democracy.

I hope most of the other candidates see what is happening here and start thinking beyond themselves. It's time to stop playing games and take our country back.

I'm shifting my support to Joe Biden because he has the best chance of our viable candidates of beating Trump.

Thank you, Tom, for doing the right thing for all Americans, time after time.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

He has always put his energy and efforts and money behind his words and doing good. He was right about the "Need to Impeach" and he has done so much good for the environment....

He did something this evening that was important - he is backing it with this action.

My hope is that he will continue to do good work and open his check book for the nominee and support them.

I believe Joe Biden will be the nominee and what Tom Steyer just did, made it one step closer for Joe Biden to getting the nomination.

I am glad to hear you are shifting your support to Joe Biden. Two people I know who were Steyer supporters just told me the same.

I believe that Tom may have given Joe the chance to win on Super Tuesday against Sanders.

Thank you Tom Steyer...

And he did it with class.

Thank you, Tom Steyer!

You were ON IT for impeachment before anybody else was! First! Full on! Back when few were actively pushing it and advocating it. You stuck your neck out, and showed guts and leadership. And played a big part in laying the groundwork AND building a groundswell for impeaching trump.

That campaign alone leaves the world ever so slightly better than he found it.

Dollar for dollar, supporting the nominee is going to be the best money he ever spent. If he spent hundreds of millions on issue-specific campaigns already, I can only imagine what he's prepared to spend to make sure Trump leaves the White House.

At first, I thought he was just another billionaire. However, from seeing him on stage, and reading about how he has helped Democrats, I realized that he is the real deal. Thank you, Tom Steyer, for being totally Dedicated to the Democratic Party. Have you considered running for a Senate or Congressional seat? There are some Republicans that we would really like to remove from Washington.

as if he wasn't "authentic" just because he has money. It seems to me that he's put his money- that he EARNED with his own ambition, by the way- in the kinds of places that show he genuinely understands and cares about the most fundamental problems our country faces.
