(43,869 posts)These are the most recent polls. No one has polled anyone this morning. These are last week's poll. He looked at them this morning.

(58,785 posts)going on with them this election, as in the last. I no longer assume that RW enemies haven't infiltrated and corrupted every political industry BUT that one just because no one's reporting it. When you think about it, in a nation where the NYT, AP and even PBS have been and become RW agents, of course they must have. And even honest ones may be too prone to groupthink and aversion to killing a good thing by sticking their necks out; maybe hired for it. There may be cyber interference as well...? 538 recently admitted a "correction" to something that had skewed data for months.
Whatever. Over a decade ago, I couldn't understand why so many candidates were running on keeping their heads down and not making waves. But I also was dismayed by pollster interpretations that said Democrats didn't want strong action -- followed by voters subsequently not bothering to turn out to the polls. Turns out those polls were completely, devastatingly wrong.
And the rush of enthusiastic admiration and gratitude for Elizabeth Warren's fights with Wall Street and for consumers is what finally revealed the truth about what Democrats wanted that the polls were hiding. I was so glad -- it wasn't only me after all! Pollsters weren't just not asking the right questions to develop a true picture, they'd been doing it for years.
