Biden has no ground game in California

He only has 1 office in California. Bernie sanders has 23 offices in California. This is going to be a cake walk for Sanders winning California overwhelmingly.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Number of field offices doesn't reliably measure extent or effectivess of the ground game anymore. Nor does it predict voting results.

Tue Mar 3, 2020, 07:26 PM
Mar 2020

For many years the California primary marked the end of the primary season. It always came in June.

In 2000, the year that Al Gore went up against Bill Bradley, the state of California moved up their primary to Super Tuesday in early March. It remained there in 2004 and 2008.

For some reason, which I don't fully understand, the primary got moved back to June in 2016. In 2020 the state of California once again established an early March primary date as part of Super Tuesday.

A term I'd like to see retired. There was some year when the Democrats' legendary "GROUND GAME" was going to do the GOPers in. We were repeatedly assured of this. I'm not sure if it was in 2012 (for Congressional races) or 2016. Maybe both. It didn't happen.
